what iamergo said, another recent blue post said the server maint. about to happen today the 16th is "not 2.4 but to prepare for 2.4" so looks like we'll get 2.4 next week and then ladder the week after

Does that mean we get the 2.4 runewords for a week then they get moved to ladder? Or are they doing away with the "ladder only" thing (which I hope).

I play this game, not because I'm good, but because I'm stubborn.
Also I play a wearbear amazon because I like punching things.

@Nathalanti 2.4 will only bring changes to existing runewords (i.e. more valid bases). The new ones will be ladder-only. They said nothing about doing away with this idea, and I personally don't think they should.

Agreed. Runewords are the big incentive for ladder play (for the 99% of the players who can't really compete in fast leveling and all that).

I can't wait to see the new items, and I'm also curious about how much some of the bases will go for (like, 6 socket staves with +3/+3/+3 to 3 important skills that fit together!)

(though after watching a video comparison to current stuff we have, I'm not sure exactly how good it really is. We'll see!)
