I played this game a lot in November, then took a big break. Only recently gotten back into it. Supposedly Fire Wall was nerfed (technically a bug fix), but I haven't noticed any change in damage.
Did they just make it so that Fire Walls can't stack anymore? Or that Fire Walls on large targets no longer hit multiple "hit locations" simultaneously, or something similar? I'm wondering if the mention of nerfs is to do exclusively with using Fire Wall as a primary damage skill against bosses?
It seems to kill things about equally as fast for me as it did in November; that is, nothing amazing, but enough as a 'backup' skill for cold immunes. I play pure blizzard with 20 in FW 1 FM 1 Warmth, that's it, minimal investment into the skill.
On a side note, do you think there are better Fire Backup options for a (mostly) pure blizzard sorc? Like 20 in Meteor / 1 FM or 20 FB / 1 FM? Or 20 Lightning / 1 LM?

Hydra is about to get buffed, in that you will be able to cast a bunch very quickly and let them chop things down for you. Because of auto-target they will probably take the place of a lot of immune coverage spells.
