Zod and Cham Advice Please

So, I have recently, solo play on BNET season three ladder, dropped both Zod and Cham.

Until now, I thought that these items were probably myths!

Anyway, I play HC on BNET, how would you recommend I use these runes before the end of the season? If I find an ethereal Colossus Sword I will make a BOTD for a Frenzy barb (sound ok?)

What about Cham, could/should I make a Plague for the offhand?

looking for any build ideas that just need to be viable/decent in solo BNET play (hardcore) - I would like to use these runes now I have found them.

Cham in a Arreats Face/ Harlequin Crest for the useful CNBF. Or maybe to make a Pride for a Bowa. Plague is more useful in an Eth Sword for Act V Merc, it would support a MA Sin, a self welding Infinity Zon/Sorc. For Zod well EBoTD plus is the way to go, maybe in an Eth Zerker

Are you set on barb? How viable is Frenzy in hardcore? I assume with some Draculs and a point into ww for maneuvering that it could be pretty safe. Maybe even Frenzy for proc and then ww for murder. Which character type farmed you the Zod and Cham?

If you want to hork, I agree with Lars, Cham the Helm to free up ring/ Belt slot. Ebotd Colossus Blade is a major step up from Oath but sadly it pales compared to Grief so if you’ve got the Lo, make Grief instead. Id recommend making ebotd Spear or polearm for your merc on a soft core hork barb, which in my experience is only beneath Infinity for merc best in slot. However, in hardcore I think it might be better to lose some corpses and put reapers toll on him, then hold tight whirlwinds around him while he decrepifies.

If you farm with elemental damage and you don’t have Infinity, again, I’m with Lars, put it on act 5 merc in ethereal base and use it like poor mans Infinity.

If you just want to mess around and experiment, it’s not popular, but I really enjoyed Mist. Pop that on a Cold Arrow rogue and she can get you nice crowd control and a major damage boost. It’s pretty cheap, you’ll need a Gul, but if you’ve already found Zod and Cham, I’m guessing you probably have one or two lying around. I even enjoyed Mist as a primary weapon. It freezes target, has resists, very high Ed when combined with Concentration aura and 100 Pierce is very nice. Solid and pretty budget runeword. Otherwise, you’ll need one or two additional high runes for any other runeword involving Cham.
