Description

Hey!

I'm leveling my paladin dragondin + hoj as a zealot. I'm using
Zeal
20,
Conviction
20 and
Holy Fire
synergies (
Resist Fire
+
Salvation
). I'm left with 8 skill points at the moment (i'm level 88). I dont know if i should increase
Sacrifice
so i can buff my physical damage or if i should increase
Blessed Aim
for the passive +% AR.

Looking forward to hear your toughts!

Your physical damage = ~400-500 per attack
Your fire damage = 14-16k after
Conviction

Conclusion - > Upping
Sacrifice
as a dragondin is wasteful (Unless you really want to deal those extra 15 damage per level, I guess.)

Do you have
Holy Shield
maxed already? That should be prefered over maxing both
Zeal
or
Blessed Aim
.
Zeal
AR bonus >
Blessed Aim
AR bonus.

I have only one point in
Holy Shield
. But i already put 20 points in
Zeal
.

I'm going for
Holy Shield
then. I think you are right. That defense will be better actually because my def isn't that great after all because of Dragon.

I didn't maxed
Holy Shield
yet (level 90, missing a few levels), but i'm at skill level 11 and feeling like a tank now. Charging and Zealing everything on the way.

I was using a hibrid dragondin + FoH but it was lacking something. I guess that this melee dragondin just hits the spot. Pun intended.

Thanks for the tips!

Physical damage is pretty pointless on a dragondin. It's massively eclipsed by your fire damage, so the most important things are -% res, +% fire dmg, chance to hit, and movement speed (and of course, survivability). Stacking
Sacrifice
(or
Zeal
for that matter) won't do a whole lot for you.

Regarding AR, you just need to remember that since you're running
Conviction
, monsters are losing 92% of their defense. You don't need to stack AR at all. Non-TZ
Baal
ends up with around 200 defense under the effects of level 25 Convic, so even with almost zero bonus AR or +% AR, you should have around 83% chance to hit him at level 92. So the defense half of the chance to hit formula is basically taken care of. Monster level is going to matter, too, and there's not much you can do about it other than level up some. With Convic, you only need to add like a couple hundred base AR (hello
Raven Frost
) and maybe have +100% or more AR if you want to have like 90%+ hit chance on non-TZ
Baal
. You could do that with a
Blessed Aim
merc if you want or about two AR GCs.

Those skill points may be better spent on things like
Holy Shield
,
Resist Lightning
(for its passive, if you like that),
Redemption
, etc...
