Andariel is NERFED in Reign of the Warlock

Good morning D2IO!

As many of us have continued to test and datamine ahead of official patch notes for the upcoming Season 13 (Season 1 of RotW), more and more nuggets have continued to present themselves.

Probably one of the more under the radar adjustments was to

Andariel. They nerfed her drops by lowering her Quality Factors.

Nishi, Pavke, and I broke this down a few days ago running a significant amount of calculations and doing our diligence. The impact is fairly significant especially at lower player counts.

She no longer is in an S-Tier of her own and the reign of broken drops has ended.

Thx mate for the Info! But does this affect only RotW or is the nerf active in Expansion, too?
EDIT: Completed watching If I have understood it correctly, you get the "old" drops if you do not convert your char.

Therefore, a further reason (besides Sunder Charms) for NL (and casual) players to leave at least one good Andy farm char in the Expansion

Just buff him to drop up to 2 extra scrolls, on top of the ones we already get.

Tome in 3 runs instead of 4!

You are still using tomes? I myself cannot afford that much space in my inventory...

Well, no. Unless I'm helping someone get their waypoints that is.
But still, if I did, I want them full faster cuz I'd toootally farm

The only thing in my inventory that isn't a charm is the cube to snatch the occasional drop along the way.

Does this affect potential SOJ farming? Previously hell andy was the #2 spot to farm SOJ (other than nm andy)
Does this make hell andy better for SOJ farming now?

she's perma quest bugged in d2r no?

I approve of the slight Andy nerf. You can reach her quickly and the route is not dangerous.

Baal takes a long time and Mephi can be a bit dangerous. So it's fair that they win the drop race. I welcome everything that makes the game a bit more balanced or "fair".

Yes they had permanently updated her drop tables to be her first time-kill drop table (q-bugging) in d2R. I wonder if they removed that drop table update and if we can go back to q-bugging her.

MrLlamaSC spoke about exactly that thing (powerfarming

Andariel) on one video. Drops could've been altered in general.

I guess that they drop more now. I'm leveling on Normal and on

Plains of Despair I had 4 runes on the Ground at one battle place. Low level ones, but 4.

@War The Wise I can confirm the "old" behavior in the Expansion (from just a few minutes ago)
I think for now my Blizzard Sorc will stay in the old world

Yes, pre-ROTW Andy still GOAT.

Andy was always pretty miserly with my characters, so I feel no regrets fully moving on to RotW.

At least now it won't feel like bad luck. : P
