UI Feedback here. I've been using this site a while now and could not figure out how to search forums. I was using the "Search Database" drop-down, selecting to search forums and only getting a limited result. I can only select forum topics that populate from the drop down, it only does a limited search and you cannot trigger a full search from that area.
I only recently discovered the "more" button to the right of the "new topic" button has all the advanced search features. I'd never clicked on it to see what it was. Since the "more" button only contains search features, maybe renaming the button from "more" to "search" might help people like me who couldn't figure out how to search forums? Might also help with duplicate topics that keep popping up.
