Description

Hi,

what is the use case for a +3 paladin combat
Circlet
over a + 2 paladin skills
Circlet
? For a hammerdin the +2 paladin skills seem to be more valuable. You lose one point to
Blessed Hammer
but you gain 2 points to
Concentration
.
Are there paladin builds that benefit more from +3 to combat skills than +2 to paladin skills?
I am asking specifically about caster or hybrid builds, since melee paladins don't have much use for either, afaik.

Thank you for your answers!

PC
+3 combat often beats +2 all for FoHdins and some non-caster pallies.

Conviction
has a hard
Cap
on the -res which you can easily reach as a FoHdin, meaning the +2 all is effectively the same as +2 combat so far as your damage output is concerned, making +3 superior.

Though in the case of a FoHdin neither is optimal of course, seeing how Griffon's exists. :)

OP
Thanks for the answer! I was suspecting that FOH/
Conviction
connection.

The reason I am asking is because of the high prices some of these circlets (+3 combat skills) fetch in the trading community, especially when combined with other useful mods like fcr and 2 open sockets. I feel like I am missing something. Maybe the non caster pallies you mentioned?

the most valuable item i found was a 3/20
Circlet
which
Larzuk
gave 2 sockets.
getting a 2/20/2socket rare is ...
1 in 10 million?

Sure, but a 2 (class skill) 20 fcr 2os blue is just as easy (or hard) to get as a 3 (skill tree) 20 fcr 2os blue, and is considerably less expensive, hence why I feel I am missing something :P

My guess is the lvl 45 that is nice for MLD.
Any +2 paladin
Helm
requires lvl 67.

pm me here (d2.

) for trade

PVP interest would explain the crazy price tag, especially when compared to a much cheaper item that is in most situations superior.
Thanks for the input!
