If you are playing in Resurrected mode, this ability's projectiles provide a small radius of light, illuminating the dark slightly. In addition, the fire trail left over also has a small radius of light.
The utility of this skill resides mostly in its knockback property, which is not dependent on slvl. Other skills in the Fire half of the Elemental tree are better sources of DPS, meaning investment in Molten Boulder will usually be a low priority for Fire Druids.
