Description

The 1.11 Necromancer body armor runeword. Like many of the class runewords, it is quite weak for its cost. Two Um runes would be better served in other gear for most characters.

Skin of the Vipermagi is cheaper and generally better for most characters due to the FCR given.

A slvl 10 Bone Armor will absorb 155 physical damage before it is depleted. It should be noted that each "hard point" a Necromancer places in Bone Wall or Bone Prison will increase Bone Armor's total damage absorbed by 15 points, meaning Bone's chance to cast when struck could potentially provide for the absorption of 755 physical damage.

Not bad armor but the cost of two Um runes is heavy. 2 Um runes is equal to a 1 Mal rune and to a 1/2 Ist rune. With two Um runes you can easily trade for a Skin of the Vipermagi or a Que-Hegan's Wisdom, which are better options.

If you are playing a bonemancer, the absorption rate of the Bone Armor will be quite high because of the synergies. This armor has saved my hardcore necro a few times. However, the proc % is low, so don't count on it to be a sure safe mechanism. Rather consider it a quality of life improvement, autocasting armor and occasionally saving you the time to recast it
