Blade Sentinel

Set a spinning blade to patrol between you and the target point.

Description

This skill allows the Assassin to throw a razor-sharp device that flies back and forth between the Assassin and its target, slicing any hostile creatures in its path.

Casting Delay: 1 second

Blade Sentinel is subject to a 25 frame Next Hit Delay. This means, as of Patch 2.7, that each individual blade can only damage a target once per second.

Blade Sentinel will not trigger % chance to cast on striking nor % chance to cast on attack effects, and will not apply open wounds.

Blade Sentinel is indeed dependant on your attack rating although that's not displayed. Check your chances of hitting a monster with a normal attack to determine your chance with
Blade Sentinel.

Primary and Off-hand Claw Mods

The primary claw is the one equipped first and is above your gloves. The secondary is in the shield slot, above the
Boots.

These work on both primary and off-hand claw:
- Resistances
- Faster hit recovery
- Skills
- Stats like life, mana, strength etc.

For all skills, IAS only work on the primary claw. Normal attack get IAS from both claws.

* Half this damage applies if using a two handed weapon. So for blade sentinel damage with a two handed weapon is 3/16.

** Blade Sentinel has natural pierce.

*** All blade skills have a fixed speed, regardless of IAS on weapons or gear.

It is often overlooked, but a
Blade Sentinel does count toward an Assassin's 5-active-trap maximum.
