This demon can tag up to 5 enemies per defiler summoned per area for the damage sharing ability.
Once a defiler tagged the maxium of 5 enemies, he will do nothing else but move until their targets are destroyed or despawn (three screens away from them).
Destroying it with Consume adds +% magic damage caused by you and -% magic resist on your enemies.
Capped at lvl 11 Consume for a total of +20% magic damage and -10% magic resist.

Magic/Miasma Warlocks normally Consume their Defiler for extra damage but when facing Baal's second Wave (Achmel and the mummies), it's better to keep the Defiler alive because it can actually help a lot with its shared damage spell.
When your merc and your demon bring down a Greater Mummy, up to 5 other mummies take damage. Thus, this magic immune wave is not a big challenge at all!
Summon Defiler works really well with Cursed Bind Demon, especially if you have a good demon to curse them easily
Two Defiler allows to bind enemies at least 10 enemies as a result and if your Cursed Bind Demon attacks on any shared enemy, it will work like trying to use Amplify Damage 10 times
Cursed Venom Lord works extremely well with two Defilers because it can cast Inferno that attacks two times on any enemy who caught it
If Cursed Venom Lord uses Inferno on any shared enemy, it will work like trying to use Amplify Damage 20 times instead
This allows me to clear enemies so quick and make a quick work with Act Bosses as well
