I have become a TZ Grand Charm hoarder

originally, I had intentions of getting into the rerolling business but have since decided that is a dark path to nowhereland. So, now, 2 of my stash tabs are full of GCs and I'm still hoarding.



I feel like someone needs to call A&E

at one time i had no less than 3 mules for grand charms
3 mules for large charms
and 1 for small charms

the more you learn about the game youll drop what becomes clear garbage

i dont even pick up and identify large charms anymore
only say 1 out of about every one i ever identified was worth anything and had decent all res

Sell them! The price will only go down over time.

Yeah sell them or dump them, there is no need to have more than a couple max at a time, you can find more easily.

They're so easy to get now that I typically keep 2-3 at a time for rerolling. It takes a while to find a keepable roll, so I find that's about enough. When I get down to 1, I pick up another 1 or 2.

I had a deal with 10 piece lvl 93+ GC's for 1

Perfect Gems each. That was a clear win for both of us. For the first reroll of the remaining GC's I rolled one skiller which I kept for myself
Now I have a few skillers for sale, but they are in D2R expansion, not in RotW, so not so much interest in them.

For sure you will have much more high enough level GC's than what you can reroll,

Perfect Gems are the bottleneck here.

Perfect Gems than I thought and hit a few lucky ones quickly. When I re-roll, I like to not have to stop until I'm out of gems. But they're so easy to find that I don't really worry about having a ton.

I also used to keep gems that fell off of

Baal, but now I trash them all. Easy to get a high enough ilvl one at any time. I quit rerolling quickly though, since I was burning through gems fast and switched to using gems as currency instead (for the time being).

The odds of getting a worthwhile charm reroll in the first or 2nd attempt max are very much not in your favor.
And even if you start cubing with all gems at 99, by the time you get something worth keeping, you'll have spent more than enough gems to find a new TZ GC well before you're filling up on gems again.
Really no reason to ever keep more than 1 of them for cubing purposes. 2 at the most, if you really want to account for that "jackpot on first try" scenario.

Back when you had to beg

Baal for them, sure, keep a few as you never know when you'll get more. But since TZs made them a dime a dozen that simply became a waste of space.

I still pick up large charms, but yes, it is very rare to find a good one. There are a few types I like though. All res + another modifier like FHR is very nice for niche use. Also, +6 Max dmg with AR and life are very nice and reach very close to their small charm counterparts. Life + Mana large charms can be decent, and there are some MF ones I have seen that I've kept for self use. They are awkward because of size, but 2 large charms takes up the same space as a GC+SC, so in some cases that works. Also, you can tuck one into your inventory under the cube and next to your torch. I usually only do this if I put scrolls on my

Belt, however.

I've filtered out large charms. At this point I tend to forget they exist.

Picking up and identifying a large charm in Diablo (once you already have a lot of good small and grand charms) is a bit like hanging around in a poker game with a bad hand that can at best be improved to something mediocre. Even if you hit your card, what do you do next?

So I skip them so I don't have the decision of "should I keep this sort of decent, but not clearly great charm?"

Maybe 1 in 10k times you hit that 8 resist all with FHR large charm, but even that is just "very good", it's not GG.

I like sharp large charms of vita.
2 large have 5 more life and 1 less damage compared to perfect grand + small.

I still got 5 mules full of GCs, mostly skillers. Spent a lot of jahs for thousands of pgems for rerolling and now I am too lazy to sell them.

not all of them are skillers, some of them are for example 45 life + 28 lightning res or other usefull combinations. And yeah some of them are with life. Got skiller with 1x +45life, 1x +44 life, but a lot with much less -> 10-30. The worst is that the two skillers with the highest value of life were very bad skillers (masteries and shape shifter). Still got few nice skillers (Javs, Pally combats or lightning skillers) with something like +35 life. On the other hand there are a lot of just a plain skillers like curses or defensive worth nothing but I cant throw it away. I hope I will find some time and willpower to list it here but sometimes its quite usefull when I am trying some new build and do not need to buy new GCs
