I lost my nearly perfect Opalvein...

Well, now it happened to me, too... Last time I died, I must have accidentally picked up a ring and then did not get it back from my corpse... It was by far the most expensive item on my Char - but the saddest thing is, that it was selffound...

Therefore, a short reminder: When you die, ALWAYS double check your Char before leaving the game,

Diablos corpse retrieval system is absolutely garbage. It shouldnt overwrite your gear or not pick your gear or anything like that, it should bring your "forgotten" items into a chest stash which disappears once you take the items out.

Sorry for your lose, @oOKIWIOo . Now I always double check the inventory after I retrieve my body.
I felt so sad for couple of days when I lost my Duress, the very first good runeword I made in the game, also self made, as I play offline.

From my experience, when you pick up the corpse, if there is any gear didn't get pick up, the corpse wouldn't disappear. You will see the corpse still on the Ground and on the map as well. It will disappear once you fully retrieve all items.

Could always be worse - could have been HC

maybe just fix how the corpse looting works, like if loot still on the corpse (

Opalvein in this case) produce the corpse in next game with the loot that was still on the corpse.

Oh yeah that is true, but the fact that if you pick up stuff and die for example again, you lose your gear from first corpse or something. I dont know how all that worked, I die rarely and always been able to get my corpse back without picking any items

It was cold (5/8/3/2) but it is still worth ca. 8

ONLY if you stay in the same game and pick it up. When you leave and you have an item on your Char it gets replaced.

The most ridiculous thing is that I ONLY once tried to retrieve my corpse one or two weeks ago and in this one instance I must have misclicked and replaced the most valuable item on my Char. What are the odds of this happening? After that, I haven't played much and thought my slightly slower

Teleport is due to some lag. Just this morning I noticed what happened: I looked at a nice blue ring with half freeze duration

Bottom line: I found a nice seller and decided to buy his 5/8/1/1 for 4

When I Died to a Strong

Herald on my FrozenOrb Sorceress, I put on alot of semi ok gear I got in inventory, then slowly crawled my way back shooting alot of spells infront of me when closing in on the

Herald that killed me, cheesing my way back inch by inch untill I killed him, then put up a portal retreved my corpse, ofc not all items was swapped cuz i had stuff on so was going back n forth town and where the body was a few times to get back everything I had the when i died, double checked everything was there before continuing on with my run.

Its really sad to loose something valuable so I am super careful to see I got everything before moving on, also check the Items button on the Ground to see everything thats dropped around the corpse.

I hope you don't loose more stuff that way its painful.

I just thought about losing one of my own HC characters with expensive stuff on them - literally just made an Enigma on HCL yesterday for my level 96.8 Warlock, and my HCNL dragondin has multiple high runes worth of rune words on him. It would suck to lose either at this point
