Has anyone experienced a weird crash on the game lately?
Was mid trade, we just completed, when the screen went funny all of a sudden. It was like there was an additional (picture) frame to the left and right side of the screen, in addition to the health globes etc along the bottom. But, couldn't chat, couldn't interact with other players, couldn't access stash, inventory or game menu. Could only run around...
Bug? Hack? Server error?
Any theories?

I've gone ahead and removed the 2nd topic you made about this.
That said, can't say I've experienced the "picture shift" thing you're describing but D2:R in general does still have a number of (mostly) rare bugs that can freeze, kill or force-disconnect your game at different times. Plus the servers are far from performant/stable these days. Or it could've been an issue on your system's end. So yeah, could be just about anything.

My client was logged in on americas server, joined to a game in asia, so not an eu thingkerph wrote: 1 week agoI've never seen this before

I could move my character around even as i heard the other person placing runes in the window i couldn't see, until i hit escape which i guess closed the window for them since they started moving, but not for me
No matter what i pressed i couldn't close out of it, i couldn't go to menu or open my inventory or do anything lol i had to restart my game
Has anyone had this before or know how to fix it??
Sounds quite similar to that as a lot of the symptoms match. I’m inclined to believe it’s some kind of rare server bug… the d2 interface was largely non-responsive, though not completely, and the only way to sort it was to force a shut down of the game and restart.kerph wrote: 9 hours agoWas it this?
