Sharing my new Lancer. I came across a Ghostly Dark Lancer and couldn't say no. Whilst Champions (including Ghostly) don't get additional affixes, the Ghostly champs come with inherent 80% physical resists (i.e., automatic Stone Skin), hit points boosted by 200% (like uniques), 20% chance to deal bonus cold damage on each attack, and +200% AR. Not too shabby. If this demon had Cursed, I'd keep her forever until she dies.

Also, she's transparent.

Transparent is cool. I wonder if the ghostly ones can spawn with lightning

Enchant and cursed. We need some kind of demon builder tool.

One way to do cursed is to get lightning enchanted, where the little

Bolts curse things.

Blood Boil can proc lightning which procs curse. With that setup you can also get

Concentration aura to further boost demon and merc damage.

I'm still unclear on whether lightning

Enchant really procs enough though. My demon is lightning enchanted AND

Holy Freeze and sometimes against bosses still doesn't proc curse for some reason. I'm not entirely sure the

Concentration is worth chasing.

Holy Freeze seems pretty ideal.

Ime lightning enchanted reliably procs it vs ubers, except maybe Uber Izual because he's just too fast to kill

Maybe you're just killing bosses too fast

Personally (i don't know if this is controversial or not) but i wouldn't mind some damage taken out of

Bind Demon (honestly, i think it needs a damage nerf anyways) in exchange for like, +0.5% curse chance per level, maybe only from hard points ... maybe even 0.25% per level on bind with 0.25% on

Death Mark or some other synergy, so you'd need 40 pts to see the full benefit. I totally understand that blizzard doesn't want to give eldritch builds permanent free

Amplify Damage, but... my poor demon misses it...

And you know what, to add to this, dropping some or most of the flat damage in exchange for way more % scaling would be cool to add more variance between binds. The fact that a

Fallen from normal a1 can one-shot a champion pack in hell feels spiritually wrong...

My experience was with

Baal. She just sits there hitting him and he keeps not getting cursed. I guess maybe he's not attacking her so there's no lightning, and somehow the

Holy Freeze is not proc'ing. I don't typically do

Blood Boil against

Baal because there's no

Engorge possibility and I don't want to take her life down.

I'm curious to hear your opinion about regular monsters though. Is lightning enchanted reliable with rando packs? If so, my next lancer needs to be lightning enchanted, cursed,

Concentration aura.

So, it's hard to tell because most packs die in one hit with or without curse

What i can say, is that with

Wraith packs as long as they are attacking him, it procs within 1-2 swings and on the next the pack is gone. For me, it's reliable enough^^

Also, i know others swear by it to proc curse more, but for me i can't notice a big difference with

Holy Freeze

Ok, next time I go shopping it's for lightning enchanted, cursed,

Concentration. I guess they can technically roll an aura from the binding that could be

Concentration. So if it doesn't already have an aura, I'd still need to try binding lightning enchanted with cursed.

Right now I'm building pre-buff gear. I need a +6 book (3

Bind Demon, 3 demon skills) and wraithsteps (

Eth would be nice). And a bunch of skillers.

Afaik it's not, they don't get affixes like uniques do, nor do they get tz affixes i think

Correct, they do not get affixes. However, they do have inherent bonuses like extra life, more damage (useless given our flat damage addition), and, in the case of ghostly, additional physical resistance, AR and cold damage.

A cursed ghostly lancer would be really cool, though.
