sorceress is pretty fast I think, Fire Ball or Frost Nova Sorc with 1 pt in Static Field.
easy to find Crystal Sword and make a Spirit Sword for +2 skills and FCR etc.
I have one over if you need, also got a decent +2 Fire skills amulet with 10% FCR that's for lvl 34 with +25% Cold res 26% Gold find and some magic find. & Pesant CrownWar Hat, Magefist gloves.
got a budget Insight in a non Eth Schyte for Merc with lvl 16 Meditation Aura aswell, if you making spellcaster this will be a nice boost along the way.
that armor might be decent for mecenary so he can't be frozen, also a nice +15% to max Cold Resist or self use it.

Holy Fire archer Paladin. Start off with full Arctic Gear, then at 15 switch to Iratha's Finery + Treads of Cthon + Hawkmail + Raven Claw. Flies through normal up to Larzuk at any player count. 1 to Might, then 4 to Resist Fire, then max Holy Fire, might end up tossing a few more into RF if you get it maxed before you get there. If you have a Cathan's ring or something for life steal you'll never even drink a pot, needs 0 mana

This is okay weapon for paladin cheap run. But it still cost some. But compare to sorc/bar requirement, it is acceptable.

not much difference.....
it will slower but very tank....maybe 2 min difference compare to sorc when vs diablo.
if you build all perfect tank, it can eat 2 diablo's red horse and still have high chance to survive.

For offline it's really useful to have a whole set of low level gear ready to rush a char up to Larzuk.

There are a number of charms with very low level requirements. You can get a 10 life grand charm with other mods if you're lucky (mana or stamina are useful). You can have enough of those to fill your inventory at level 1. Small charms I think the early lifers are at level 6. WIth those, you can be walking out of town with massive life bonuses. You can have a 3 Charged Bolt orb/staff ready to go and a 3 Nova ready behind that, and a 3 Nova with Tir runes behind that. Stealth, hsarus, fcr rings, fcr amulet, life/mana small charms (I think it's 10 life at like level 14) ready to fill the inventory. You can be adding hundreds of life and massive mana. I think an orb can get like 80 mana at level 1.
Just accumulate gear like that. It makes early leveling a breeze. Once you get Spirit and Insight (EthPartizan) and vipermagi and Lore it's game over, you're flying.
You want to go for all 3 socket quests since the other two area easy compared to the first one. Having plain skillers ready is important (level 40 something required). If you have lifers sometimes the level requirement is huge. Level at eldritch or tz in nightmare until you can wear InfinityScythe and then blast hell as fast as possible, no leveling. You won't reach your anni or torch before you have Larzuk in hell.
It's hard to figure how another class can compete. Waiting for Enigma to Teleport or trying to live in a Teleport staff seems slower.
