Description

It turns out that we can still bind an aura + curse demon even if we have only 1 hard point in
Bind Demon
. This is what I got. To do this, reroll the TZ zone so that it is "cursed". Then load enough + demon gears (e.g. skill gc, mang song, etc.) to get level 20 in
Bind Demon
. Terrorize the area where you want to bind your demon. Then go for it :) Yes, you can only bind a "normal" demon, but it always comes with the cursed affix from the TZ zone and the aura from level 20
Bind Demon
.

I would say that it functions rather similar to what we had before patch 3.2, admittedly not as broken.

what demon are you binding? what build do you using?

OP
This is ES. I am using kind of a hybrid build, max
Hex Bane
and purge, max ES and MB. The bound demon is Urdar from
River of Flame
.

Might be a bit tricky, but if you do this in higher player count, you could potentially hit the health
Cap
as well.

I would go for Maulers in Durance for the automatic lighning immunity at the cost of some cold/fire resist. Act 4 Urdar start at 75 C/F/L and 55 Phys, which with Spectral Hit ends up 95/95/95/55. Pretty good. Act 3 Mauler starts 50/50/100/55 and ends 70/70/100/55. If physical is your priority, you could go Act 5, but will end up 53/53/53/75. If you have a hard point in
Blood Oath
, I think that would close the gap, though, and you'd have the same as you currently have +20% physical resist, although I don't know if
Blood Oath
resistance bonuses push past the usual resist caps (75%) or not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Great observation and promising for non demon builds!

With 1 hard point and total of 20 or more, you can get everything you want. The only difference would be the chance of binding a super unique, but you don't need it. For me, this is a good choice but healthwise they seem squishy. I'd rather go with Vile Lancer from ac5 or Vile Mothers from act 4 with HF aura.

why do you prefer the A3 Mauler than the A4 Urdar, just for the lightning res, any benefit of this? when i use urdar, it like very tanky, but if you bin the mauler it just seem to me a bit weaker. So im still dilemma between the both. I only put few hard point in
Bind Demon
, with the gear i get lvl 21 soft point.

How about damage, which one is more superior?

I have to edit: I can't confirm the post-bind resists, just the base monster resists, and my understanding of Spectral Hit is that it adds 20 resists in a check/add or skip manner, whereby it first checks if there already exists 2 immunities (
Cap
) and if so, would adding 20 to an element create a third immunity, and if so skip adding that element entirely or if not, add 20, then on to the next element.

Damage should be the same if you terrorize because they all become the same level. As far as I can tell,
Blunderbore
/Mauler/Urdar at the same level have the same damage or so similar you wouldn't notice. On top of that, the flat damage bonus from
Bind Demon
dwarfs their base damage, so you'd be hard pressed to see any difference.

After writing that last post, I'd almost be inclined to just go Act 5 for the extra 20% physical resists and assume the
Blood Oath
bonus bumps the rest up to the
Cap
.

Such a struggle to get a decent binded demon.
I wanted to give a try to get one on my fire warlock, but with a single point, it looks so annoying.
I have to reconsider this.
