Measured Wrath does very little for my Abysslock summoner so I'm thinking about using this instead. It has 2 open sockets so I'm thinking about using an Um and an Io to make up for the loss in res and vitality. Or...do I use 2 Ums and double up on res? What say ye?

Have you considered Ars Dul'Mephistos? It sports lots of good stats including -10-20 Enemy Magic resistance. Abyss is magic damage.
Yes, that is my grail for this build now but I have yet to find one. When I do, it will definitely go in that slot
Totally makes sense. I found one a while back, kept it, never checked prices again, and assumed they'd gone down in price. They have gone down but are still quite expensive. I've got a rare book you can have if you want it.

Recently I play this also. how do you think about 2x Spirit?
I am new to warlock .
I ran 2x Spirit right up until I was able to build Obsession in an Archon Staff. With the new rules of nerf 3.2.0., Locks can no longer use 2-handed weapons with a shield, hence me switching to a book that will compliment my Abysslock Summoner build.

Since it is temporary item, I'd go with 2* Diamond for resists. Um can be used elsewhere or traded for something good
This might be the more economical approach since I will definitely add a rune socket to Ars Dul'Mephistos whenever I grab one. I've been doing Baal runs a lot lately so hopefully he'll shit one out soon

But I feel magic absorb is quite good. 16 magic absorb and 110 more mana....
I recently purchase -9 jewel and -7 Helm. most monster can kill by 1 Abyss but I still feel not enough, it takes time to kill. I am consider your build.... during my play, I dont need to Dodge witch's blood star or snake's Bone Spear...
Also, if you use Obsession , do you ever consider Void? that Dagger can have +3 assby

Void? Absolutely. I have the runes saved for the perfect base that I'm still searching for. Obsession provides +69 Res so that will come in handy against the ubers and ancients
