Ok so you can bind and relinquish Infector of Souls automatically in maxroll. If you bind infector with my character's gear but no skills in Blood Oath, he has 28k life. If you add 1 point to Blood Oath, he has 28k life. If you add 20 points to Blood Oath, he has 28k life.
I don't know if this is a maxroll bug or what.
I wonder if this is saved in the file as her "base". Would Blood Oath then enhance that value when she "spawns" in a game? I can't imagine her only having 12k health and a few hundred life regen. A cursed pack would carve her up.
Edit: I might retract that statement. Looking at the bestiary, most of the Hell monsters are doing 10s to low 100s damage, so even with a pack of Skeleton Archer shooting at her, it still might only register as a blip with 12K life.

Also, even as a 1 point wonder, with 14+ skills Blood Oath gives around 62% resist all and 9% physical resistance, spectral hit (which comes standard at a certain Bind Demon soft level) gives 20% resist all, and many monsters already have an innate physical and elemental resistance of 33%+. Then combine that with 12k life pre Battle Orders (unclear whether life Cap applies to BO) which is way more than a merc, and one can see how incredibly tanky that would be.
Also non unique hell monsters have a 1.2% health regen rate / second, that's 144 hp per second health regen @ 12k life.

Yes, this is where warlocks can become pokemon trainers. Certain combinations of affixes can potentially result in very tanky demons. My prepatch post looked at a few "unicorn" lancers and urdars: forums/anyone-rushing-to-find-their-uni ... 08484.html
If you can find a high player level lancer with Cursed + Stone Skin + Fire Enchanted, then you have a demon at health Cap with 70% Cold resists, fire immune, lightning immune and 83% physical resistance BEFORE Blood Oath resists.
Unicorn, yes, but imagine that demon. I would be playing like a hardcore character and never ever respeccing!
Yea I think that the unicorn demons are maybe a bad idea unless your build is totally completely done. Level 99, gear is finished, skills are perfected.
I think I botched my lancer anyway, because I think (I'm actually not sure) I bound her at p1. Kinda bummed because it took 3 hours of TZ to find her. But 3 hours is not that huge a deal and I'll almost certainly respec anyway. Partly because I have 20 in Blood Oath.
A 3 hour search for a demon is not out of the question for me. But weeks of searching for the perfect one is probably no good. Because a Death or respec kills it.
I'm really liking the lancer right now. But I might actually ditch her to respec at some point. If I do that, I'll probably run andy with 3 tainteds for a while. I might even have to build an entirely separate BB warlock just for andy so that I can have a bound demon on one.
On the other hand, I might just ride this demon to level 99 and then not worry about it and run andy.

It's a combination of burning shards and timing WSK TZ. The TZ was not the highest level TZ either because my character was not whatever the capped level is... 92? 94? I think I was 90.
Load game, tele to WSK level 1, see 3 enemy types. Savequit. Repeat. Takes like 20 seconds or something to ID lancers. If there are lancers, then there's some searching for uniques which takes a little longer. But i just looked for Holy Freeze and then checked for curse.
I'm running old style Bone Break and renewed fire sunder in combination and I think that's the way to go.

I'm doing similar when I go look for a new Hephy after getting popped or respec. At level 94, cursed with Stone skin and Vigor is insane to watch and it seems like Vigor procs cursed a bit more often than the other auras. Probably just wishful thinking though. I'm running Renewed Bone Break too but need a Black Cleft to go with it for my Abysslock summoner
