best sheild for endgame cold sorc

is there anything better than Spirit sheild??

If you play pure cold-es sorc, you can look into

Safety Shield for defense-attack balance.
Or pure 4 os

Monarch with facet have more attack

Safety Shield 2os can compete Spirit. Cold sorc does not need so much in fcr.
30 Poison res for ES
2os (5/5 facet , new jewel cold10/10)
DR 4+7 MDR 2 for ES
20 Mana for ES

2 os beat fcr 2 skill a lot.
PR even Spirit
DR MDR is very important for

Energy Shield. however this part only even Spirit because it provide 100+ mana.
Defense may same but attack aspect is more.

So, conclusion , run calculator, if you dont need that little bit of damage.

Attack 4os > safety > Spirit >>Phoenix
ES Defense: Phoenix > Safety >= Spirit >>> 4os

It is special case, cold ES sorc need flat DR than %Damage reduce.

Anyway, I use Phoenix. I dont need fcr or extra damage according to calculator and real test. I am fire/cold sorc.
Even my light sorc dont use ES, so the whole flat DR is minor for me. nice to have but need more DR%.

It is ES sorc series. normally I dont do it.

JMoD by comparison is a waste on a sorc imo, seeing how you're typically not really gonna want to go down the dex route anyways so you'll not make any real use of the block bonus. JMoE on the other hand takes you to your target FHR breakpoint without sacrificing more elsewhere so..win/win.

of Amicae or of Negation make for ideal alternatives if you want to go the ES/DR route at the same time.

It's similarly rare as a JMoD but less sought after.

I found like 12 currently on sale (across all modes, though) on this other trading site, starting as low as 5

Safety Shield is not (completely) bad for early leveling, but for mid and end game, the stat rolls are just too low, Spirit wins easily and is equally cheap. If you want a purely defensive shield, have a look at Sanctuary.

Consider the cost, yes you are right, Spirit always win. Most

Safety Shield roll terrible status. Even high roll, still bad.

The part we usually ignore is requirement , Spirit need str 150+. This save 60-80 status.
Dream best safety for es sorc shield looks like this. It only exist in Dream. Unless you modify it offline SP...

Or just choose super strong attack FHR 4os cheap shield. I dont feel much benefit for FHR. But it is surely better than block for cold sorc. Both not so much difference compare to 4 os

Monarch. I dont feel cold sorc need any attack thing, my choice is always Phoenix. You need to count your spell attack.
2 orb 2 blizzard kill, then you shouldnt add any attack. It wont be 1 blizzard 1 orb kill.

It only exist in your single player. Dont craft it, it is impossible roll. If you have god luck, yes it can be.

how low chance is that?lets say you get 100 x jmod, there wont be 1 shield like this.

those are crafted items (recipes/ - they are all listed there though you may find better sites or even tutorials on specific crafts and what to look for (like caster amulets etc.))

I've tried several shields, and Phoenix seems to work the best for me.

It’s funny that out of all the amor I’ve tried for this character the duriels shell works the very best for protection, I upgraded mine to great haubrek , the def doubled 1439

I just may put cold facet or frost jewel in it for added damages

I have an

Ormus robe for added cold skill damage and -enemy res but it’s such low def I don’t stand a chance in level 92 tz
