Best merc set up for Smiter Uber Ancient

now all things considered, I am very curious how fast your smiter kills ubers and if you have done these tests yourself, because I have
Grief as main weapon is nothing compared to Last Wish, even tho in the end your statement is right, CB does that damage, Grief damage to ubers until ubers go down to 5% of hp is very low.
my smiter kills

Mephisto 5-6 seconds on the clock,

Baal and diablo between 9-12 seconds each, a complete run from the moment ive logged my character until I log off takes 1 minute and 30 seconds roughly, including opening portals looting torch and all, oh and I also have no rejuvenation.

Could you share your complete gear mi amigo?

Tristram Ancient, I would swap Dungos for Thundergod and the dual leech for Wisp, the rest I keep the same and I can handle them no issues of course, any optimization?

I have a +15 all res jewel in my GA, so if you need resists that's what I'd go with.

Probably the only way your ranged merc would survive is if you get all the aggro throughout

Blood Gloves with IAS - I was addressing that statement initially by pointing out that if he has Highlords, he does not need any more IAS anywhere else on his gear assuming we're talking a Smiter with max

I've done Ubers lots, maybe hundreds of times, including HC ubers many times, and I haven't busted out the stopwatch to compare LW vs Grief, but I'm 100% confident saying that Grief cuts down their health pool quicker assuming you have at least 50% CB elsewhere on your gear (Gface +

Gore Rider is usually good enough). LW is arguably safer as it has the built in

Life Tap and

Fade proc which gives some extra Peace of mind. I use Grief+LW on my

Frenzy Barb doing Ubers, but never on my FoH smiter anymore.

Haven't busted out the stopwatch on total run time either, but I can guarantee from the moment i walk through the portal to Uber Trist til the torch drops it isn't more than a couple min.

Find Potion, 1 point in

Find Item to get all the synergys from

Find Potion to

Find Item higher % for horking,
its just maxed

Iron Skin, the rest is in

Whirlwind and 1

Berserk,
dumping the rest in

AR on WW is 10022 when I swap out one of the rings that have 5% life leech & 6% mana leech for a

Raven Frost with +249 attack rating, good for Uber Ancients with extra 20% cold Absorb and more AT.
before the patch this was enough to ROFL Stomp the ancient, now they are ROFL stomping me and my Act 5

Frenzy Barb Merch EZ, he survived kinda long before but now hes dead so fast even with the life leach etc.

WW might not be enought to take them down, Or i have to respec out of Horking and add more to

Shout and

Iron Skin to get more Def, or swap to

Frenzy build.

Im not sure, He can kill Uber and the Merc can survive kinda well with some swaps of armor and weapons.
But Uber Ancients is to hard for my Current Barb setup.

You didn't mention your armor, I am guessing it's an Enigma or Fort or even COH. But probably still need a bit more res on fire, lightening and cold, stack them to 280. It would be much easier.

Eth Andy's visage with +15. IAS +30% Fire res or a

Eth

Crown of Thieves that is

Cham socketed or Gullaume's face with +15% IAS & +14% to all Res. Merenary also use The Lawbringer

Cryptic Sword or The Kingslayer

Cryptic Sword, with a

Phase Blade Last Wish

Try to switch for Chains of Honor ?
It will grant you a nice 65 all res with others nice defensive stats.
Sadly they aren't demons or undeads.

If that's not enough, a

Dwarf Star may be

Key.

I could remove some charms to get 2 grand charms with +15 and +14 all res and some smaller ones with 9-11 to get Lightning up to 270+ and Cold would get to 220+ Fire is alredy 289+
but otherwise I might try Chains of Honor, I think I got one on my fire Wiz.

the issue with swapping out one of my rings for

Raven Frost or

Dwarf Star for Cold / fire absorb, is I would lose 8% life leech and 6% mana leech, is that trade of worth it?
