Whenever I look at trades and see people bidding like 15 to 25 is the highest I've seen, I wonder how you people are so rich. I consider myself lucky to have gotten my hands on an Enigma(only through extensive trading including other sites). To those who are so rich, please tell me how to make a fortune like yall
Can be used to make Runewords:

OP
15 to 25 Jah, my mistake
Keep in mind that a lot of people on non-ladder have been playing since D2R came out, which was... *checks notes*... over 4½ years ago. That's a lot of time to accumulate Wealth, and non-ladder econony never resets. The more you trade the better you get at it, right? It's easy to end up stockpiling those high runes after a while, and then you can throw them around in trades when there's an item you really want.
It's not like ladder where the economy does a complete reset every 3-4 months, everyone starts from 0. Nobody throws around that kind of Wealth until mid/late season, and only very few reach that level of Wealth during a single season, need some extremely lucky drops (or just be a very active & good trader).

I'm in CET (Central European Time)
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.

You play a lot.
It also compounds.
It took me a lot longer to get my first Enigma than my second, and so on. Same with HoTo/CTA etc.
Also know what to trade for. The right bases are worth a pretty penny.
Also I'd say Enigma is the beginning, not the end. It's a drop in the bucket compared to some items.
Obviously talking about Bnet here, not SSF/offline.

You have to understand , it is different world compare to it just release.
The 1 Jah value in old days is complete different than today's 100 Jah. And even today, some value difference still apply.
(something like you sell them into real world, get them back now, it will be much more than just 1 Jah that everyone agree, I think it will be more than 100 Jah too...)
Let's say an very easy example, not for that long long change. (For example, you sell all your good old torch in rotw just release for just 3 Jah. Til today, you can get them back with less than 1 Jah)
Not mention about other obvious high profile good old world item.
Example
Sorc 20/20 30 -> 10 Jah
Sorc 19/20 8 -> 2.5 Jah

Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
The beginnings of my Wealth began from finding insanely rare runeword bases and skiller GCs tbh.. just takes finding one insane piece of gear that is worth a lot of Jah runes in order to kickstart a buy low, sell high type of Hustle! Everything adds up eventually! Keep farming! I would really suggest looking into and figuring out what are the most valuable pieces of gear and keeping an eye out for those. Took me a while to figure out the runeword base game but if you find the right one.. you're golden!IamSteve wrote: 7 hours agoWhenever I look at trades and see people bidding like 15 to 25 is the highest I've seen, I wonder how you people are so rich. That answer kind of right, I see drastic market value change in rotw. Most of bot move there.varangium wrote: 7 hours agoAnswer: Bots

Makes some item in LoD market shortage, price hike almost triple compare to rotw world.

All it takes is one lucky drop to become “rich” over night, and no im not talking a high rune - im talking about a sought after unique with perf roll,l and/or a rare sought after item, those will get u rich overnight.
The standard get rich is through playing, smart trading(buy low sell high), through market predictions. Overall, once u start to have a feel of d2r items value, you will start to accumulate Wealth pretty quickly

Can trade on PC or SWITCH
usually, I recommend invest way to 'add value', buy and hold.
I have a friend that he is more focus on market side. (not even open game to play in 1 hour per week I guess) Previously he tried to manipulate Zod pricing by throw massive of Jah into market in LoD days.
And he didnt success after throw 'a lot' of Jah. The exchange rate still remain like it was.(I dont know rate accurately, maybe 4-5 Zod per Jah?) Ends up several thousand of Zod in different account. He quit because of this failure trade, ends up fill up with lots of unusable Zod that market dont accept as currency. If he come back today, he will have 4-5 x than he was used to trade. That will makes him able to buy anything or did another crazy market manipulation...
I also follow up that move but with tiny purchase....
return is really good I have to say. several Jah return into 300% gain
Some of my gem purchase fee comes from here...
--There still another crazy move exist today, like purchase all Zod make it become 2 Jah per Zod. But I think it may end up like my friend's result, throw 10k thousand of Jah , rate still same. But it looks like a viable investment to keep Zod wasn't bad today. --

It's primarily from trading. MFing can make you some here and there, but realistically you're not going to end up with a bunch of HR mules just selling stuff you MF'd. There are lots of possible gg items you could find, but you'd sooner win hundreds of millions playing the lottery. Not to say you'd be broke just MF'ing, but you're going to spend a long, long time doing it to get enough to find/buy the items to make something like a top end ES Nova sorc.
Part of it is learning the market cycle on Ladder. There's a general order of items desired as Ladder matures that you can try to preempt to get the biggest value out of some item when it's hot. Normal players usually want the things that are going to make the biggest impact on their character's power/utility, so they chase the biggest bang for their buck. This drives demand up a lot until that saturates and then it starts to drop as people move onto the next step in gearing up. You can make a lot of Ist value just farming for things before they're in super demand and learning when to move onto the next big thing.

Mass volume of perf Gems can be turned into a lot of Runes. Even now after the new stash many players use gems to make cube stuffIamSteve wrote: 7 hours agoWhenever I look at trades and see people bidding like 15 to 25 is the highest I've seen, I wonder how you people are so rich. you can toss together dozens of perf gems in a days farming I think the going rate for 6 is about an Ist rune it varies yet a few Ist can buy a higher rune.
It's all in how you chose to approach it don't forget just doing Gem runs will also find other items people might want. Trading Items is a bit slower except the super rare's
You could be just a run away from finding that small charm or rare that is worth so many Jah keep grinding.
LF:HRs, Perfect Gems, Perfect Amethyst, Hel, Ral, Key of Hate Key of Terror Key of Destruction. Do not ask me how much an item is worth value is perceived. Please use the price checking tool before posting an offer please.
This past weekend is the best I’ve had in a long time and am just now accumulating lots of high runes. When rote came out I did Uber ancient runs at least 10 times a week if I could and got a lot of well rolled jewels when it was harder to get statues. I was getting up to 7 Jah on some jewels now I get like 3 to 4 if it rolls really good. 1 to 2 if I’m lucky on lesser rolled jewels. You can always try rolling gcs and scs. T
yeah basically what others have said - it just accumulates.
When I started 2 months ago, had nothing except for a 3 year old old trapsin, now I got 3 fully decked out characters with Call To Arms, Enigma, Fortitude, etc etc.
My main Barb's act 5 merc got dual Last Wish - 4 HR each to make.
Earlier on you struggle and scrap for pennies, and eventually, you get all you need and then you play the game and, essentially, don't really need to buy anything.
