oh boy, you are. Probably more than most of the other forum user, if asking such questions after 20+ years since the release.
Have you seen the old man Decard telling you good things in the end? If so, you won the game and should feel free to delete it. and do not believe is the lies, it's only endless miserable grinding left ahead should you keep playing this game. keep your heart open to other things
That's not an easy question, because it all comes down to what you expect from the game. If you just want to end the game and kill Baal in Hell once, that's all fine.
If you compare to most traders around here, there is not a single high rune (Gul+ or Vex+) i your Stash, so if that's all you have, you're definitely on the poor side.
As for D2-Wealth with trading, I liked that grid of comparison :
- You're poor when you mostly trade in pgems.
- You're average when you mostly trade in Ists
- You're rich when you mostly trade in Ber and Jah
- You're filthy rich when you trade in 3/20/20 ^^
Main: Necromancer / Second: Assassin / Third: Amazon / Check my stash, my crafts and my many cheap Annihilus

Cheers guys. So the bottom line is that I need to grind hard.
Also, probably a better class for farming like a sorc, I assume.
@trentor I've played the game when I was a kid, picked it back up again a few months ago, not really delved too much in end game content, hence the question.
@Necrarch cheers, that sums it up quite nicely.
Also, another question I got - I found a WhiteShako - is that actually worth something?
Is there a way to escape the text so it won't automatically link to a Database item?
Regarding the 'getting rich' stuff, well, it may be related to grind a lot in higher levels and try to find either HRs or unique equipment that have some value (Maras, BKs, SoJ, perfect sunders, perfect anything).
If you build a strong char that can solo DClone you may be lucky to get a 18+/18+/9+ annies and sell them, and so on.
For all of that, diablo2.io plays a important role.
Make a sorc, learn how to Teleport/Telekinesis efficiently and farm LK super chests. After you get initial Wealth, learn how to trade and snipe offers. Buy low, sell high. Richness comes from market manipulation, not drops.
Wealth in D2r is to a point a relative term. If you have most of or all of the expensive runeword items the game has to offer, and enough excess high runes to make more then you're as wealthy as you need to be. There are some members who've made the game about Wealth collection, and that's okay, because for them it keeps the game alive. There is no right or wrong path to obtaining a good collection of high runes, so take the one that presents itself to you. A good beginning until you start getting valuable drops is to collect and build a cache of Hel runes and P Amethysts, because both will trade for Bers and Jahs and both are doable by anyone.
