Can be used to make Runewords:
I'm still 100% happy with Delirium for my Warlock. Despite the chance to become a chiby. with everything fighting themselves you can just wait it out in most places.
You just don't get swarmed especially with Demons as tanks and front liners. Put Chains of Honor on to make up for the lack of a shield's resistances and the + skills.

I get where you're coming from. I don't need a COH because I'm using Obsession runeword while not perfect is good enough rolled with, 65% Faster Cast, 60% faster hit recovery, 63% all resists and an Um-ed Shako for 15% all resists, which frees my build to use an Enigma. The Obsession, Enigma, and Shako makes reaching 200% magic find easy without affecting build quality. In the end every build comes down to the gear you have access to, and build choice. My gear includes an Obsession runeword, Enigma, Arachnid Mesh, Measured Wrath Burnt Text, 28% Mara's, 2 Sojs, 2 X +1 Demon Skillers, and 1 X Chaos skillers.Dragoneyes001 wrote: 1 day agoI'm still 100% happy with Delirium for my Warlock. Interesting. This is exactly the reason I asked this question in the first place. This is literally the build I originally had in mind, even down to socketing my Harlequin Crest with an Um. I'm about to build my Obsession with an Archon Staff so I hope the roll goes similar to yours and although I would prefer to have a Ars Al'Diabolos, I already have a Measured Wrath I can use in the meantime. Enigma might be a little further out so my CoH will have to suffice until I can land another Ber since the 2 I have now will be used in an Infinity for my Merc. What did you use as your base for your Obsession?mhlg wrote: 1 day agoI get where you're coming from. In the beginning I would prefer to have had an Ars too, but the Wrath Burnt Text is more than adequate for now, because it adds additional skills to fire skills, and it's also socketed with an Um. For my Obsession I used an Archon Staff, which is used mostly as an offhand.

So I assume you're running a firelock until you land an Ars then respec to Abyss?mhlg wrote: 22 hours agoRhaegar86 wrote: 23 hours agoInteresting. Actually I started with an Abyss summoner and then respected to a firelock summoner. I liked Abyss but damage and AOE on Apocolypse is quite good, and when mobbed I can swap to Ring of Fire which pushes everything way. Why did I respect you ask?? Well because I have more than 3 dozen tokens and my curiosity was killing me. LOL excellent reason. I have 7 tokens with enough material for 2 more so you have piqued my interest lolmhlg wrote: 21 hours agoActually I started with an Abyss summoner and then respected to a firelock summoner. But then again, I have this that could definitely be a contender with Abyss
Give it a go and see if you like it, and if not then you can respec, just keep an eye on how many skill points you have so as not to fall short on something. Warlocks - at least the Abyss kind (going back to the OP) - got lucky imo in that their BiS is also the (subjectively) best looking: a Diadem with a fitting color.
Though Hellwarden does look pretty solid on them as well as the special visual on that very much feels like it was built to match warlock armor appearance. Might call that a tie actually. And it does come in a very close second in terms of performance as well. Like...extremely close...not even a rounding error close...
Sure beats the hell out of necros and their hideous green-shaded Diadem or hair-clipping-through Hellwarden. ~~
Though in-game, diadems all bug out and lose their color, making them go blue again. Thanks to that, I'd argue Hellwarden does ultimately look better.
OP
I absolutely prefer the look of Hellwardens Will over anything else. I wish it had better stats that are more useful to my build. Which warlock Diadem are you referring to?Schnorki wrote: 4 hours agoWarlocks - at least the Abyss kind (going back to the OP) - got lucky imo in that their BiS is also the (subjectively) best looking: a Diadem with a fitting color.

Hellwarden is such a Great Helm for almost any build. But if you need that 20% IAS or FCR for breakpoints, and are dealing magic or fire damage, it's probably BiS. Looks cool, too.
OP
I did manage to snag a Flame Rift (my only sunder so far) and have renewed it to this so I'm very tempted to respec to firelock summoner. My CoH, Measured Wrath and Obsession would definitely help buff the fire penalty. Do you think with Apocalypse maxed out it would be enough to break all fire immunities?mhlg wrote: 20 hours agoGive it a go and see if you like it, and if not then you can respec, just keep an eye on how many skill points you have so as not to fall short on something. +3 Chaos to max out performance. Since an Abyss lock has fairly easy access to max FCR without the head, you don't need the usual 20 FCR on it, saving you from the abysmal green and allowing you to go for other suffix stats instead, based on preference. Life, dmg reduction, mf, whatever. If you go with 100 life, you get that dark Diadem to match up with everything else.
Didn't you say your build is Abyss though? Cuz..you don't get much "better" or "more useful" than hellwarden for that.
Yes, given full BiS gear a +3 Diadem is better. But only to an extent that you will never notice in actual gameplay. They are extremely close to one another, so long as the rest of the gear is tailored towards them.
OP
Correct, I'm currently running an Abyss lock summoner. Sorry, I'm still not understanding you on the +3 Chaos Diadem part. Are you talking about a unique or rune word or what? How would I be able to choose the suffix stats. Again, sorry for the stupid questions. Although I have been playing this game for 20 years, I have never been this involved with all the internal mechanics of synergies between gearSchnorki wrote: 44 minutes ago+3 Chaos to max out performance. Nah, magic. E.g.: You would "choose" the suffix stat simply based on what you trade for or keep cubing for or otherwise hope/hold out for. I.e. you don't get to say "I'll put this suffix on it" but rather "I'm looking for one with this suffix".Rhaegar86 wrote: 30 minutes ago[..]

Whether or not you'll ever find the right one is a different question as they are far harder to obtain than hellwarden. Plus you then still have to pray to Larzuk so he gives you 2 sockets instead of 1 which takes even more pure dumb luck.
