so, i figured i should try this. I loaded up a char on single player... slap full of charms, exact items. Died two times with Phoenix. I swapped to Exile and got them... it was a bit close, but no Death... so you do seem to be correct, this build with Exile feels safe. I've never had the patience to hunt for keys.... hell, even the statues that have always dropped like hotcakes are annoying... i have about 30 statues, but only one act 2 statue. Right on, I get it. The high roll jewels can be worth multiple Jahs, if not 10+..
plus, now you can run an assist service and Charge people to get their jewels

Farming post patch ancients with same but a few differences after playing around:
Upped Herald Of Zakarum with Um
Dwarf Star
Wisp Projector
Verdungo's Hearty Cord
Horazon's Legacy
Enigma
Mara's Kaleidoscope
Swapped to Treachery in highlands to pre-buff Fade, then swapped back to Enigma.
For res charms, using 1 x 5 res sc, then quite a few 10-11 lightning/fire res sc's mixed in with a skill gc's. Starting fight with around 340 lighting and fire resist, 300 cold and poison resist.
Using maybe 1 rejuv per fight, health doesn't drop below 75% after first Life Tap proc.
I didn't even prebuff with Treachery but ofc this gives a further layer of safety.
