According to the drop calculator on Maxroll non TZ bosses now have the same droprate as TZ bosses before. And the droprate of TZ bosses has been doubled.

Baal, Diablo, Mephisto non TZ now: 1:12.4
Baal, Diablo, Mephisto TZ now : 1:6.5

But I am not sure if this is really correct (the droptable for Andariel seems false to me because she now should have a better droprate non TZ than TZ with nearly the same as with Essences ). Therefore take it with a grain of salt

Edit, day later: Found #5 this evening...I think I stop posting since it can become boring for you guys

So I decided to pop an Eastern Worldstone Shard and run tombs, because a) it's raining shards, b) I'm still missing Duriel's statue, and c) running tombs is fun. I don't get a statue, but 3 Deep Worldstone Shards. Hmm, maybe the game wants to tell me something? All right, I terrorize Act 4. By now, I've run into about 15 Heralds. All of this is online, P1, by the way, which is not known for its best drop rates, but whatever.

Inside Chaos Sanctuary, Herald ~17 goes:
Wait what? I didn't know that was an option. The Helm turns out to be a Nightwing's Veil indeed. The other two are well past their heyday, but it's still three elite uniques.

Then Big D chimes in:
Oookay. You know what, let's visit terrorized Baal and see where this leads. Northern Worldstone Shard popped, Baal drops a Festering Essence of Destruction and a random unique while a Herald who shamelessly appears right in the middle of the Ventar the Unholy pack leaves a unique amulet behind. Well, a Mahim-Oak Curio, not too spectacular, but I'll take it.

What's next? Act 1. Andariel doesn't follow the example of the primes, but Herald ~20 gives me a Gul and a random mob in The Hole, level 2, a Latent Crack of the Heavens (!!)

That can only beg the question, what does The Countess have for me? Which leads to the spectacular finale...

Been saving for a while and got together the bits to roll my first Grief. I was definitely not expecting to roll so well:

39 IAS on a scale of 30-40
394 dmg on a scale of 340-400
-25 enemy poison resist on a scale of 20-25
14 life after kill on a scale of 10-15

Seems like a pretty awesome roll, especially given it's my first one and I was going to be using it whatever it was

I've been trying to turn over cold sunders for a Sur so I can cube my other Sur into a Ber so I can make an Enigma for my brother. No bites, not even a nibble.

In a rare act of compassion, a T5 Herald, knowing my plight and my brother's mobility problems, dropped me a Ber last night.

Edit: that makes Lo, Jah and Ber in two days. I'll be emptying my retirement accout and putting it all on red.

My main is a SSF cold mf sorc. Finally found my first Latent Sunder today and the game nailed it:
Cold Sunder with %-dmg and mf - exactly what I was looking for


Neat addition of this run was this almost perfect Cerebus' Bite giving me another chronicle entry.

I've been struggling and frustrated with heralds, but then two days in a row, for two builds I'm actually running:

Yesterday's TZ Mephisto session was one of the best ever! First game found Stormspire from Level 3 weapon rack, then followed by Medusa's Gaze. Best drop was my second SSF Jah Rune. All 3 in less than 10 mins!!!

I was happy to find my first ever Death's Fathom from TZ Andariel, although it rolled lowest 15% cold skill damage.

Knowing the drop rate of latent sunder charms, I'm glad I got Flame Rift as first drop from TZ Mephisto days ago.

First drop of a Dreadfang and it was ethereal! The 2H barb merc is P8 very viable.

TZ Mephisto just dropped me my first SSF Griffon's Eye! The roll is good! I've been farming hard for Arachnid's Mesh and still haven't even gotten it, but this will be a nice upgrade for the Nova Sorc and Javazon either way. Was kind of hoping for Arach's first so I could use Shako on the Nova Sorc for a while (using a random 2/20 Circlet for now to reach breakpoint), but this will have to do! xD

To compound my luck this morning, I found some sick Boots. Wish the light res was higher but these are nice for my Nova sorc as well!

It finnaly happend, after TOOOOO many Re-rolls with perfect skulls I got IT, +2 Warlock skills & +20% FCR, I had to add 1 socket with the cube recepie 3 Perfect Skull + a SoJ.

the Teleport speed difference from 105% cast rate to 125% is very noticeable, Blood Boil is also crazy fast now, I have to watch out so I don't overcook my bound demon ( if that's even possible!?!? not risking to try it )

to bad I could not get 2 sockets from affixes, but I'll take what I can for now, and re-roll another one instead.

After killing so many heralds in season 13, I was beginning to think sunders were a conspiracy. A Flayer Jungle Herald just dropped this though, so now I know they do exist.
