I’ve never seen one with a hex skill, which is a bummer since I’d like to have an offhand SplendorTome with Hex Siphon so I don’t need 3 skill points to get that.

Just keep checking. I keep looking for a +3 Bind Demon book. Finally found one and it is a Superior book, which means the add socket cube recipe doesn't work... The search continues.

Good to see im not the only warlock looking for Splendor books and not for the unique ones.^^ I still have to find a +3 Abyss with +3 Miasma Bolt (+ X).
Btw anyone know where to farm for the correct book base or even more chance for books ?

Does the book base matter? Or is it the level of the zone where it's dropped? I just assumed a 96tz could drop books with any staff mods.

For the staff-mods only the item level matters. So the base is not important but the level of the monster who dropped it (see https://maxroll.gg/d2/resources/staff-mods).

Hmmm, if it is the same with the books like with the pelts, i think some combinations are very rare (low level and high level spells combined on one book?).
Queegon wrote something about mods for pelts in the Metamorphosis article.
Im pretty sure i got the best bases out of normal, before i even entered hell.
One of my first finds of a base in normal is still in my hand.
If i would try to farm i would try cow normal, book shelfs normal or nightmare and (this was genius from another member here) use Recipe: Normal Quality Armor of Same Type to collect and reroll all crude, damaged or cracked books.
So i think every spell from lvl 1-30 can be on every book but the chance to get lvl1+30 spell in a higher chance from lower book bases idk?
