Can be used to make Runewords:
The option to change the color or look of items is the idea I most like.
On the other hand the unambiguous nature of the look of certain uniques has its own appeal.
I like that I can tell if a character is wearing a Shako or if somebody has some sort of creativity in their build.
Blizz knew what they were doing in that case and imo the "punishment" of running around with a green leather condom on the head seems appropriate ^^

Introducing a transmog system using the soh would be interesting, would've said respec but we got the token now
I'd love to see class-specific buffs, or cosmetic changes so I can see that beautiful sorc hair Shako hides.

Yeah, I don't think they will add any sort of use anytime soon. My confusion is the required level 90 doesn't even do anything
I like the idea of making it a consumable that adds MF, but instead of a period of time, make it for a zone and make it apply to everyone in the zone. "Plant Standard of Heroes in a zone and add +100 magic find to all monster kills in that zone; only one standard may be applied to any zone". E.g., plant it in Frigid Highlands and everyone in Frigid Highlands gets a 100 MF buff. Imagine planting it in cow level--would probably drive the runeword base hunters insane 
They should just make a spot in the materials stash tab for it, so that you can keep track of how many Ubers you have killed.
By the way, we can be 99% sure that it has no use. But LlamaSc finding the souls easter egg should be a warning. For more than 20 years, the devs have not revealed this secret.
Maybe (sligh, slight chance) there are still some unrevelead secrets. Maybe not all possible cube combination of the standard and gems/runes/items etc have been tried out.

would be cool if u could use it to add something to gloves or Boots, kinda like a socket, but maybe choice of stats or something to buff up endgame gear a bit?

Cube Standard of Heroes, Annihilus, and maybe Hellfire Torch to reroll a runeword/unique/set item? It wouldn't be game breaking, as it doesn't add anything new or change current meta, the prize would potentially be worth burning through these fairly valuable items, but at the same time it'd also give some use to all those trash Annis/Torches some of us keepBizington wrote: 17 hours agoOn the right idea.

I would also love a cube recipe that uses a Torch.
I farmed way too many torches in Offline to find a specific class torch and now my shared stash is full. They can't be put on a mule as characters can only hold one torch. A cube recipe where I could burn 3 torches for a portal to, I dunno, Uber Mausoleum, would be awesome. It would break my heart to throw the torches on the Ground and leave.

I didn't think of the name change thing but we've all been buggin' a little about that for decades. LET US CHANGE OUR CHARACTER NAMES BLIZZARD!
And it would be better (imo) if the SoH charm was locked to the character.
Cube up 12 or 9 of them for the " Tome of Heroes, then you can take your " Tome of Heroes " to Akara for a name change, and it will log it in the Tome for you.

I like the line of thinking. I am on non ladder, I have a few characters I changed the build later and the name doesn't fit anymore, would be really cool if we had that option in diablo 2, but I don't think this is ever going to happen.Bizington wrote: 51 minutes agoYo!!
