As someone mentioned already, it's almost like an easter egg hunt. I like it!
I would join, to help me make my first Enigma, but I'm afk that weekend. Big sad
Now I wanna do something similar, but it's "act 1 hide and seek, whoever I kill last wins gear upgrades" :p

Just wanted to point out that runes on the Ground expire (poof) after 20 minutes - so you might need to go around "touching" all the dropped runes a few times until they've all been found. If you do, just make sure you leave the party first so that the participants can't track you via the party screen.
