I put my first runes into rare item hoping to get runewords.
A recent one: I always play ladder. When RotW was released, I was making RWs for my Chronicle. With my hoarded non-ladder runes (ladder ended the same day). And I ended with a Gemmed Breastplate 'ShaelKoEld'. Luckily, I started with low RWs as quick wins, so i was not a grave mistake.
Swapped my act 2 merc for another act 2 merc but forgot to take off his gear.
Had to say bye bye to an Infinity, Cure and Fortitude.

Initially it hurt, but at launch the RotW market was extremely inflated so I made loads of Jah.

Tried to make a Smoke with a 2 socket blue item last night.
Aside from that, getting back into it and buying it on steam when it came out to see how much time Ive put into it. 188 hours in a month and a half. Currently in my top 13 games on steam and will surpass number 12 later tonight. My throwing barb just got to hell. Im saving runewords for a mosiac, and Im Id like to make a fire druid before I call it quits.

Try my strategy to avoid this - the most important and expensive charms, e.g. torches, Annis the best skillers, are the farthest away from the cube. And then progressively weaker charms are arranged, such that your expendable charms are next to your cube. You donāt have a use case to ever accidentally click on the most valuable stuff

(Highest def out of any normal shield, you wouldn't bother getting block up anyways so that's pretty much irrelevant, str req still more than low enough for a sorc and well below the CtA-set Spirit Monarch and obviously the most stylish choice on top of that)
