I saw how some folks are farming Countess. They go straight to her, kill only her . This is efficient way to farm keys. I kill stuff on the way. Online it is mostly P1-P3 games. Pressing button where

Nova is binded 1-3 times when I landed in the middle of the pack can yield good runes in long run.
Same for summoner, which I do either with ES Warlock or FOH/Hammer Palladin.

More easy kills -more chances to get high rune. Hell Countess generates keys which worth more than runes you get from her. 8-9 keys worth

So best farming place is where you kill extremely fast on as high player count as possible.
When I am weak with very poor gear I prefer farming NM

Terror zones to get some runes instead of spending long time killing Hell Mobs with their high and mine low resist.
