ES warlocks, how will you adapt after the changes?

I am on borrowed time.

The day will come when my ethereal weapon becomes a relic. I will look at it from time to time and remember the good times. The near perfect

Protector's Stone socketed within will grow dim and dusty from lack of use...

Anyway, onwards and upwards. I don't intend to abandon my character. I am leaning towards

Mirrored Blades/and boosting

Hex Purge to adapt. I think

Bind Demon will have to go. To be honest I won't miss the

River of Flame hunts for the "right" Hephasto.

I have a Botd, a non

Eth ariocs on standby and I may look at Death to replace my

Eth-Ondals. I'm actually looking forward to new build experiments. Will you stick with ES? tweak? or reroll?

Patch 3.2 will almost certainly coincide with ladder reset, so I'll just start anew, with a build viable after the nerfs (nerves?). I don't know which one exactly, since we don't have final patch notes yet, and everything may be subject to change.

Currently I would not yet bet on this one. I think it is possible that they revert at least this nerf - not the least because the effect is relatively minor in comparison to the other nerfs and, above all, to the frustration and anger it causes among people who have spent tons of HRs to get or make those weapons.

On release, the Warlock was totally op. Now they are testing the opposite.

I am sure that not all nerfs will make it into the next patch. In the end, things will take place somewhere in the middle of both extremes.

So just take a deep breath and wait for what will come.

Exactly. What they did was they let players test so that they themselves don't need to (talk about saving money!) and considering that they put

Eth weapon and 124FCR toon out (devs themselves don't really know the game), they've done the right thing. This is test only though. No one knows yet what, if anything, will make it to the game patch.

Zod in weapon.
Of you have it already, give it to merc or try a Bladesin. For now I just get as close to lvl 99 as I can with OP Warlock. Hope I will make it and will have at least one lvl 99 character for crafting purposes.
And talking about nerf:my Bowazon will suffer most if Lethargy damage will be nerfed. No more Lethargy from merc. Other characters will not notice this change much.

yeah but the eOndal's was never top tier damage, it needed the help of a

Protector's Stone and Phoenix. Now, it's a blast. I am using it for the exp gain as I'm lvl 97 and rushing for 99 before ladder resets... the race is on so we are in the same boat. +4 skill

Eth ariocs was BIS in slot for me but the Ondals/Phoenix is a close second

the 48 fcr breakpoint is good enough so:
Horazon's Splendor

Arioc's Needle

Arachnid Mesh
2 fcr rings
crafted

Caster Amulet

Not sure Phoenix is necessary if you have mana leech, I'd still rather use a book I think.

ES warlock will become MB warlock with Mist

Colossus Crossbow double Last Wish merc and

Hex Purge, or

Hex Bane.

Not yet decided what hex to use. Bane is -%def and heaps of magic damage but with purge I can reach the fastest

Mirrored Blades breakpoint.

And I don't want to become a magic damage dealer with Mist

Demon Crossbow +

Hex Bane.

Thinking similar thoughts. I like that you can actually see purge. I’m thinking of pumping its energy blast synergy and using it maxed with

Mirrored Blades. The biggest headache will be reaching both acceptable BPs for FCR and IAS whilst considering AR

Once my ES Warlock hits level 99 (97 now) and the patch happens, he will forever be on the bench.

To put it in South Park WoW terms; "Now we can finally play the game."

The Summoner, if it doesnt work; fudge Warlock I suppose... I really hope they are not destroying it now after they got their money.

normal +4skill ondal (not sockered )works nicely on my boiler. Your Ethereal with Stone will work better . Due to Stone. Just respec or make new character that need leveling
