Some of people will agree with it . But new content is good.
I think they can make something like seasonal pack. Like every season, they release a new class + act with 20 USD cost.
That will make game more like dota. Every minor change, a new character and act add in and a new world created. And about item, it will act like diablo 3, without nec pack certain item cannot be used/drop.
In the end , it will generate more money if they do it every 3 month. But they might need build several different develop line that make several development co-exist...

After so many years, I am at least glad they are trying to give us something more substantial.
My only real "fear" would be that the current Blizzard is not the same Blizzard that made the game that we all love, and as such maybe they don't have the best idea of what they should actually implement in the future, if they choose to do so.
At the end of the day, for me at least, if they leave the option to opt into the new content or stay on older expansions, I am a happy customer.
