Description

Hi, i came back to Diablo II few months ago from the old days if D2:LOD. At that time
Diablo Clone
was almost inmortal but last week i destroyed him as fire warlock.

Today i got my last statue and now i can summon ancients and tristam ubers. The problem is that i dont know if im strong enough to kill them.

Is there any guide about the gear you need to walk throuhg that alone? Resis, Life.....

I searched for that but couldnt find nothing.

I’m not sure on Uber Tristam as a fire warlock, as a ES warlock I learnt that max FCR and cold absorb are needed. I went in naively in the warlock set and had a difficult time.
Next time things were smoother. Still used Treachery buff before going in.

The Uber ancients are surprisingly easy. The trickiest part is killing the last one of your choice. I recommend not using defiler for the fight so you can more easily dictate order of Death.

I disagree somewhat with Renton212, New Ubers are more difficult than Trist Ubers. First reason is that in Trist you are significantly more capable of doing 1:1 combat following known tactics (drawing Meph out, drawing
Baal
out, etc).

This is all using a Pally who is geared for light resists to face Meph. Leading up to my encounter I never could get geared on my Warlock as good as my Pally is for these fights. One issue is that my Pally does not need Mana, but the Warlock certainly does.

m3liodas I would suggest planning this on a day/time you can arrange before hand someone to be there to help, or at least come into help. If you perm the game and do exit/return for body it does reset. However I think it does not reset if someone else remains in game. One more bit of advice from my experience, make sure you have a good big binded demon. Your demon summons will last about 2 seconds, your binded should last

One single most important thing about uber end-game:

Make game from lobby, with password.
If you die, exit and reenter for body.

Just don't go on demon hunt in different game;)

In response..
Lightning Bolt
you to the face!
2026: Show me your Hephasto and I'll tell what kind of man you are.

I have always permed my game, and tested I can get back in. Usually I will farm Countess on 1 character, and switch to another to insure I can exit and re-enter. Have seen over the years so many that did not perm their game, and thus the torch was lost (or opportunity).

I completed the warlock set and am enjoying it a lot, it's very budget-friendly. But I'm kinda afraid of that: do you think it's not capable of surviving endgame content? I was even considering upgrading the pieces to get more armor

Horazon's Splendor is definitely viable in endgame, but only for builds relying on physical damage.

for me, the lack of FCR became an issue, maybe it's because I was rusty but it felt slow, once I swapped out gear and reached 125fcr things seem to go much smoother. With a good demon bind it's totally fine but it didnt feel "slick"

Shako
, mara, obsesion/CTA, Enigma, Spirit, 2xsoj,
Gheed

Boots

I dont have any sunder neither torch.

Should i be able to do ubers with that? All my resis are maxed to 75

No Cannot be frozen is going to be a pain.
I would not do ubers with a warlock.
Or better, I would do it with buckets of LL if using ES.

I actually wouldn't do ubers with anything but a pally to be honest.

Someone said that summon warlock is very easy to do ubers. Zero challenge.
So far
Echoing Strike
has been destroying everything :D

I'm not surprised. I've been playing ES basically naked (a simple Spirit shield and Insight) and been absolutely wrecking. I want to do some more testing, as I think ES is bugged, and should calculate AR.
But I can't really guarantee Ubers without having done it first, so op could try a character editor for offline testing just to see.

I'm actually running a ES warlock, though with Horazon's set, and I guess I'll try to tackle the ubers. I'm trying to get a better second ring and secure some decent armor for my merc first (I already have a Uber-killing pally, but I want to try with the warlock anyway)

Ive heard its a fair bit easier than the Ubers, although I don't recall much specific details. Recall one person saying it was like fighting 3 Dclones at the same time.

I’m pretty confident you can handle Uber Ancients if you can quickly take down one of them fast. That’s usually the
Key
to stabilizing the fight.

As for a fire Warlock build, I haven’t personally tested it in Ubers yet, but I’m fairly certain
Uber Tristram
would be significantly harder, probably borderline unviable, due to fire resistance and sustain issues.

If you’re aiming for a true “do it all” setup for both open world and Ubers, I’d strongly recommend going with an
Echoing Strike
Warlock. You don’t have to switch if you don’t want to, but in terms of versatility and consistency, Echoing performs better across both environments.

I personally run two gear setups on my Warlock. One is Uber focused and very solid for bossing, and it is still usable in open world but with lower magic find. The other is open world focused with better magic find.

I’ve tested three different weapon and gear combinations and settled on two that perform really well depending on the situation. My setup is not exactly the same as the Maxroll guides, but it has been very effective.

If you want, I can walk you through how I have mine set up.

Since binding a good demon its annoying and each warlock prioritize diffrent auras, im going to level up 2 more warlocks, es and demon, now i know Who i have to ask :)
