Description

It's about the
Summon Resist
skill...
If the tooltip says for example +65% resist does this apply to all summons before or after the difficulty penalty?
Let's say I'm playing in Hell difficulty, will my summons have +65% all res or will they have -35% all res after the -100% all res penalty?
Help me figure this out and I might put it as additional information on the skill on this website

I always thought the resist bonus applies after the Hell difficultys resist drop. Just like it would be on players; players lose the resistances when going to higher difficulty and so does the summons.

So lets say your resist go to -100% on minions -> the resist bonus brings it back whateer % it says its giving.

I could be completely wrong, but this is how I understood it. If someone knows this to be different, please do tell. This is interesting.

This is what I thought too, but maybe the penalty does not apply on summons and only on player and mercenary. But I have no clue, hope someone knows

As far as I know the resistance penalty only applies to players and mercenaries, not to summoned minions.

Edit: Ginger Gaming Mentor confirms this here:

Oh really? :O

So they are at 0% resistances and the resist bonus applies on top of the 0% right away? thats neat. I really thought they would have the negative resistances on hell without the resist bonuses.

This, and also minions may have different base resistances depending on the difficulty. Example: Oak Sage.

In LoD: Necro minions have the same base resistances in all difficulties.
Skeletons are 0%
Clay Golem
has 50% cold, 20% lightning, and 25% physical.
Blood Golem
has 20% poison, and 20% magic.
Iron Golem
has 50% lightning, and 100% poison.
Fire Golem
has 164% fire.

As far as I can tell this is the same for Resurrected and I don't know about RotW.

At slvl 1. At higher slvls fire res is lower, but it gets compensated by higher fire absorb.
