Description byCan be used to make Runewords:
I gamble the following using a Edge weapon + 15% Gheed's Fortune where possible:
' Boots' @ clvl 43 for tri res r/w fhr
' Leather Gloves' @ clvl 66 for rare +2skills 20%ias dual res w/ str or dex. blue w/ +3skills 20%ias
' Sash' @ clvl 64 for rare 24%fhr tri res str life
Gambling at these clvl's keeps costs low, keeps the upgrade chance low and avoids diluting the affix pool with more affixes reducing your odds of getting the one's you want.
I should warn you that the odds of getting anything good from gambling these items are extremely remote. Expect to gamble hundreds of millions of Gold and spend countless hours horking Travincal for Gold before getting anything usable, let alone gg.
Don't gamble for profit, it has very low ROI (Return On Investment) for time spent. You're better off farming statues if that's your goal.

Really interesting thanks for sharing @D2Veteran
Continuing the "Don't gamble for profit", if you're willing to make online trades and a low/medium cost unique/set item would be better than you current one, spent your time/resources trading for them instead of try to gamble something better...
Leave gamble to those slots where the BIS is a rare/magic item

Are the hypothetical gg max percentages available at this level? As in could you get a 40/40/40 res Boots if you're gambling at clvl 43?
Absolutely
clvl 43 is to guarantee illv 38 (clvl -5)
and alvl 37 (illv - qlvl/2)
( Boots have qlvl 3)
because of

Those clvl are for Boots only (the one with 2-3 def), the other boots have higher qlvl and will required higher clvl/ilvl to the same affixes...

In high lv, you only delete affix
+6-9 dex
+30-40 mana
+5 rep life
+ light damage
Another question, why do people want rep life? I think its useless .

Crafted Items have 1-4 Random Magical Prefixes/Suffixes
On top of those fixed properties, a Crafted Item can have from 1-4 standard Rare and Magic Prefix and Suffixes. These are generated pretty much the same way as a Rare item.
At ilvls 1-30, there's a 40% chance of 1 affix and a 20% chance each of 2, 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 31-50, there's a 60% chance of 2 affixes and a 20% chance each of 3 or 4 affixes.
At ilvls 51-70, there's an 80% chance of 3 affixes and a 20% chance of 4 affixes.
At ilvls 71+, there's a 100% chance of 4 affixes.
Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.

Around the time you stop playing, I purchase Gold in tradie, it goes as low as 25-40mm 1 Ist ( pricing in 1 Hel 5mm)
I think I am that bottom, I lost lots of Hel by then. Gold is like unlimited comes in. But fail roll also...I spend several billion...
Today , I think LoD Gold price come back a little, not sure about rotw, it might better but surely not 10mm Ist.

This part (chance of number of affixes depending on ilvl) is only for crafted (that have 1-4 random affixes)
And even when they have low ilvl they can have 4 affixes (the chance is just lower at low ilvl and guaranteed at high ilvl)
Rares will have 3 to 6 affixes, with the same chance of each number independently of the ilvl.
Magic will always have 1 suffix (50%) or 1 prefix (25%) or both (25%) independently of the ilvl.

(the crafted page link on my other post was just for the alvl formula using ilvl and qlvl)
Replenish Life from what i gather is desirable in PvP due to the fact that you cannot use health potions, it's considered BM (bad mannered).
Rep life provides slow, passive healing which is allowed.
About replinish life people say that it is used on Pvp (life leach suffer many penalties on pvp) and some Energy Shileld build may like to.
It really depends.
On SSF and ladder start, I gamble whatever I need to progress faster. That's most often gloves, belts, and Boots. Even at low levels you can hit (V)LLD GG items. But the odds are so low and the Gold you spend so little, I don't mind optimizing here. Tri res Boots and 2/20 gloves are always nice, rare belts are usually beaten by uniques. The before mentioned levels are a good reference if you don't want to waste your Gold and have no concrete plan/need.
To turn a profit (i.e. nothing better to do and not in the mood for selling 10M for Ist), circlets at lvl 92 and coronets at level 87. This is the best use of your Gold. You might get some decent self-use stuff and these items types offer the best chances of getting GG tradable items. It's also relatively easy to identify good rolls (it's much harder for e.g. rare belts). As already mentioned, the odds are still low.
People gamble like 10 coronets, don't get something worth 10 Jah and think they are not lucky.
There is a reason 10M Gold go for Ist. Do the maths. You need to spend Billions in Gambling for the chance of hitting jackpot. But this is what makes gambling fun. The low chance of winning really big.
I only gamble for rings and amulets when crafting:
Amulets at lvl 93 and rings at lvl 80-83.
Since you need magic ones as crafting materials, all the rares you get on the way are basically free bycatch.
If you want to dig into gambling, here is a more comprehensive guide: forums/gambling-guide-by-hastmannen-t6604.html
There are even more comprehensive guides on other sites. D2R gambling is a deep rabbit hole.
tl;dr: Only gamble circlets (at lvl 92) and coronets (at lvl 87) if you want to safely "invest" your Gold.

OP
Oh the warlock circlets / diadems / whatevers are insanely expensive. I havent had luck with that yet and I was kind of hoping to try my luck on it. It only needs that one decent wlock helmet with 2 skills and 20 fcr and its already worth A LOT. Even without sockets or adds otherwise.leox wrote: 2 hours agoI doubt the possibility of get something valuable but here is lucky example.

I guess it has to be 2 skill 20 fcr to have value. Because Hellwarden's Will is +1 skill 20 fcr and -res , somehow I think they are equal.Semirotta wrote: 1 hour agoOh the warlock circlets / diadems / whatevers are insanely expensive.
