I decided to do the Gloam MF easter egg and terrorize all acts, just to see what I got. I have had a pretty great haul so far, with about half of Act 5 left. Biggest highlights:
I also broke my huge Key drought (about 65 runs between Summoner and Nith) with a double Key of Hate on Summoner! Plus a bunch of runes, with the highest being a Lo, my second high rune since starting D2 again. Used to play this game a ton as a kid, but man, never got these good of drops.
After killing about a 100 heralds without getting a latent sunder, i built a horker and got this one after 2 tries:
It was a nasty Herald, killed me 13 times before i finally killed it and horked this one (Was hoping for something else then Bone Break, but still happy for the find)

After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)
Time Zone: UTC/GMT +1/+2 (Germany)
Online workdays: casually from 07:00-09:00 pm
Online weekends: casually midday to evening

Great so now not only do you have to get a harold to kill but you have to have a Barb Shout at the damn corpse to even get them. Blizzard wonders why they resemble the following?

So far, I never attempted to get a Sunder Charm and only collect shards (which are really rare, too). I wait and see if Blizz does something. There are plenty ideas out now to fix the Sunder Charm issue (including my own that when you TZ the whole game, all five act bosses become Heralds from Tier 1-5 in the order you approach them and the T5 boss is guaranteed to drop a Sunder)

Last night I fired up my fire warlock to continue my hell playthrough. Act 4, as soon as I enter Plains of Despair and kill some enemies, a Ber drops. On a PLAYTHROUGH LOL. Easily the highest rune I've seen while not farming.

The Ancient's Way was a Terror Zone yesterday evening, so I gave it a try, I honestly looked out for finally getting one of the all new Latent Grand Charms, but Herolds don't show up that often for me, well, instead this showed up.
Although a Latent Grand Charm would be way more in total value, I couldn't help myself but smyling from one Ear to the other for 5 minutes straight. In over 1000 hours of playing this game, the best I ever found was a Gul while doing H-Key runs and finding one at The Summoner.

shards drop in non TZ zones target the SElites's they do drop during TZ but you can trigger the Herald if that isn't your goal then non TZ's work as well. a good spot for 4/5 of the shards is Kurast the 5th does drop but rarely.
I would like to join the "has found a Jah rune Club", too.
After two medium Griffons today some trashmob in terrorized Throne of Destruction handed me over a Jah rune (before wave 1 started)... Ofc I didn't receive a statue which I was hunting for another 30 minutes.
