Insight is the best Warlock weapon for Echoing Strike

- Echoing Strike attack speed is based on cast rate, Insight has 35% FCR.

- Critical Strike is under rated, with some +skill items u can get 50-65% chance to deal double damage.
that will make this better than Fortitude and just under Breath of the Dying for a bad roll and the best weapon with a great roll.

worst case u have ~50% chance to CS and 200% ED. ur effective ED goes from 200% to 350%.
((100%+200%)*1.5)-100%=effective ED%

best case u have 65% chance to CS and 260% ED, which makes ur effective ED 494%. better than Breath of the Dying.
((100%+260%)*1.65)-100%= 494% effective ED

-MF is always a nice bonus

-ur other gear doesn't need to stack deadly strike, so u can use mara's instead of highlords, war travelers instead of gore riders, etc.

-its cheap to reroll, till u get a good roll.

I flattened the Ubers yesterday in a couple of minutes using expensive gear (incl Eth BotD Warpike and Phoenix shield) but I'd love to try it again using an Insight – I think my Eth Colossus Voulge has the best damage in my stash. Lemme know if you've got some input.

Never played warlock so I'm may be wrong but you can have FCR on other stuff and you don't have crushing blow whish is BiS for ubers.

CB does not work with Echoing Strike

I've been using Ribcracker w/ Shael (unsure as to exact attack speed breakpoints at this very moment) on my Warlock and it appears to have a fair amount quicker kill speed (especially with tough single targets/bosses etc) than char equipped Insight Bill does, using Echoing Strike (mostly on mobs) and Mirrored Blades (moreso on single targets).

That sounds very interesting and I am also rather tempted to try it out - since I have a couple of these bad boys

i'm using an ethereal Colossus Voulge and it slaps. report back how it compares to BotD. u need life/mana leech somewhere else since ur not getting it on weapon. thats a drawback compared to BotD.

not sure about Mirrored Blades interactions but crushing blow and fast attack speed don't effect Echoing Strike. flat + damage doesn't work either so Grief sucks with it too. i saw mr llama cleared Terror zones naked with Wirts Leg, the skill is pretty OP. try using an ethereal Colossus Voulge, it slaps.

Did a lot of "testing" with this. Merc is Pride and Holy Freeze aura. demon is might, and cursed at min. but you can get might and Conviction and cursed. and a Phoenix shield

Insight is hands down BiS for leveling as you can progress with how much points you have in levitate and echoing strikes. so normal up to elite base. i was able to equip an Eth Colossus Voulge by level 50 or so. not even out of NM yet. I then tested an Eth Obedience finding out that its slaps(1200 weapon damage) but the Enchant wasnt doing anything as i didnt need AR and the elemental damage wasnt doing anything.
I then get my hands on a Eth Decapitator and make Death. my sheet damage went down by around 5k on the max but the min went way up. and my deadly strike is almost 100 percent with highlords. makes the clear speed insanely fast. it is my believe that even though my sheet dps went down by a little i make up for it greatly with deadly strike. Breath of the Dying clear speed is the same as Death but you get the cool visuals of Poison Nova and with a Conviction demon its actually doing a little damage but everything already dies so fast its hard to tell.

but basically the formula is get high dps weapon doesnt matter what plus cast speed and plus to skills and melt everything. the difference between 15k sheet damage and 200k is just overkill everything will still melt even on players 8. so is it Bis? nah not even close. is it worth all the high runes to get MORE damage? nah not really. but it was fun to see over 100k in that box lol

ps. i would love to hear about other fun unique weapons people tried. maybe a Tomb Reaver? or that Ettin Axe with 5 sockets? name escapes me

Just a few minutes ago I found an Eth. Tomb Reaver Maybe I should give it a try...

Just FYI, Conviction doesn't affect poison resists.
Only Lower Resist curse will reduce the poison resist of enemies.

I wouldnt call Insight is the best for Echoing Strike, it is an all rounder though

Im using Insight myself, Eth high roll col Voulge, but once i have the proper gears to offset the fcr, i am replacing it with high roll Death or other “better” 2handers. Overall, Insight is the weapon to go to for Echoing Strike for overall usage..

ohhh didn't compare it to Death, that looks pretty nice actually. pretty cheap for a Vex + Gul too.

I tried clearing Ubers while using a Insight Cryptic Axe + Spirit, and I have to say compared to Death Decapitator + Phoenix it seems the clear speed is higher.
With Insight+Spirit Shield I am able to easily reach the 125fcr breakpoint, and the fast attacks seem to more than make up for the loss of raw dmg.

Was using merc with Might+ Conviction and Hephasto with Cursed+ Fanaticism

Ubers melted in seconds.

This is insane taking into account the easiness of obtaining these items!

noice!!! thanks for the info. haven't even tried to hit the higher breakpoint. what other gear are u using? ubers vs keyruns gear? i'm using FCR rings with leech. i want to keep Laying of Hands for the dmg to demons. would use Fortitude for ubers that would put me over 125 FCR, using enimga for keyruns.

edit: i just check every char, i have prolly over 30 Spirit shields on all my chars and not one with 35% FCR, several 34s. if i had a 35 i could switch out a FCR ring for a BK ring. i'm over the 125% FCR. he's wicked fast. very nice with teleing.
