Redemption is nice, yes, but Apocalypse alone gives me -45% enemy fire res and i get -15% if I Consume a Tainted. Plus Flickering Flame and Infinity. The +5 to +7 to Apocalypse are just massive, plus up to 25% fire damage. I have a bad one, which already is super strong, a good Ars Al'Diabolos will improve your damage by about 50%. And on top of that you get mana for every monster killed (and you usually kill at least 10 monsters with one blast, often many more). That helps with the mana issues. On top of that: 25 FCR. Phoenix comes nowhere close. The Warlock's skills are massively OP, so is his top gear.

You could arguably use Phoenix and Obsession (65 FCR), and instead of Infinity, just Consume a monster with Conviction. The 125 FCR BP should be attainable with gloves/Belt/your choice ring/amulet. Nope, check Consume's page. All enemy demons give a static bonus. Super unique bosses give a stronger one. Neither is tied to their affixes at the time of Consume activation.

I think he meant to write bind, not Consume since binding does preserve the aura (or adds one if lvl 20+ bind, if the monster doesn't have its own yet). Consume CAN include an aura, depending on the mob but that's not "if mob has aura then same aura". If you Consume hephasto for example, you get Holy Fire, regardless of which aura he himself had.

Even on magic WL Phoenix is hard to beat imo, as Redemption aura enhances survivability and utility by a lot. Damage is allready enough if on /p1 or solo bnet. Havn't found the magic book yet, will give it a try when it happens, but so long i'm happy with PhoenixMonarch
