I've actually found a ton more joy since i've been doing offline SSF - at least since i got off the Ground. the beginning was REALLY tough and slow, but i have some good gear now. Everything i find i am happier to find than online. I'm not worried about trade value, just the fun of finding it and i don't care about the rolls. Like I finally got a barb torch, and it's 13-10, but i didn't care. I was just happy to find a barb torch lol.
getting that Stone of jordan to grab an Annihilus though....that's another question. That may take forever

I got two SoJs out of her in like 4-8 hours worth of farming. Was really happy, got one Anni and kept the other SoJ for some caster builds.

As quite the casual, I've never seen any runes or items of note, let alone been near an endgame runeword. While running my budget Lock in hardcore to play around with shackling various demons, a trip to Tristram yielded something rather unexpected.
This had me dazed for quite a while, but I got a grip on myself and pushed on into the next terrorzone hoping for heralds. Instead just 15 min later I found my very first edition of this - which was also the first unique Ring this character had ever found.
Honestly I thought Blizz had done some wild tweaking to the droprates of items or the like after this, but reportedly it isn't so. I guess this is revenge for the many, many Sorcs I have lost trying to speedfarm Mephisto in HC only to Teleport into a pack of dolls and get exploded like a pepega.
