If you are currently grailing, will you be converting your characters to RotW?

I'm just curious, because I personally sort of want to finish the single player grail I set out to finish, not something new. However, I do want to play the new content, so I think I might convert my online characters, that way I can do both.

I have heard that the grail tracker in game does not carry over any progress you have made when you convert, which is also a factor. I don't really want to start over (well, until this one is finished at least xD)

I'm not sure though, even as I write this I'm having mixed opinions. I feel like I'm in the minority of people who are a bit hesitant here. I'm super excited either way but want to hear what y'all think!

For what it's worth, I completely understand what you mean and I am in the same boat here.

Apparently, items are added to the grail tracker whenever you identify them, so items you already have, even on a converted character, do not count. I tried converting first with a low level character who is wearing the full Cathan set, and my progress in the tracker is still 0% and none of the items are added. It feels a bit strange walking around with the whole set and it doesn't get added to the tracker. For that reason alone, I feel almost compelled to keep RotW characters separate. But I do want to use the new stash tabs with my old characters as well, so yeah, mixed feelings is exactly what I have.

EDIT: I will give it a little more consideration, but I am probably going to end up converting all my characters anyway. The new shared stash is just too juicy. This might help you to decide as well.

Yeah, I'm also in the same boat. And what's worse (feels like anyway), I had paused my grail for almost a year and only started playing it again about a month ago (I felt done with the ladder season that ended yesterday), and had been going at it a fair bit since, leveling new characters, etc, and now ... I don't know what to do. Kinda feels like, what did I do wasting all that time playing offline so much the past month? But I guess converting to RotW, keeping all characters but starting over the grail with the built-tracker is one way to go about it. I "just" need to find all the items I already have found once more. I was only about halfway anyway...

Just found my first unique on a RotW character. The item, before identifying, actually states "Eligible for Chronicle", and displays a shiny glow when identifying, so yeah, that confirms that this is intentional.

Isenhart's Case, but I had a few very rare items in my grail already, so I'm a bit miffed about it.

I made the decision to convert every character I play with, I am keeping one character in the expansion just to keep copying for my GoMule transfers until we hopefully get a GoMule upgrade (every character you currently load into the game, even if not converting, gets corrupted in the current GoMule version, so in order to transfer items you have to copy a character file and rinse and repeat).

Bonesnap, Battlebranch and a

Berserker's Hatchet. All stuff I already had in my current Holy Grail, but it's actually somewhat exciting to have a fresh start. As long as I don't delete my original items, I don't mind the idea of having 2 Holy Grails running.

Make it almost 3 years for me and only 3 items left.
But I'll bite the bullet and start again.

Is nice to start from scratch but before you find something good you'll be weak.
I have at least 8 skillers for every class and spells and all the good stuff ready for a new character for "Another 99" topic if I decite to make it. It will have all the good stuff ready for them to wear when they reach the level.

Power is good but the thrill to find something new better that the one you wear is also good. Like you, I'm in the middle.

Yeah I already have

Tyrael's Might and some other juicy rare uniques, 91% total completion. But that said, I really want to play this haha. I'm still a bit torn but I'll figure it out. I appreciate these responses. Glad some people are in this boat too haha

I feel conflicted too, but I think I'll use the RotW grail tool.

I started my grail like 3 months ago, but really get into it this past week or so. So I'm not totally lost, expect for that Mara 28res I found in a basket ... what a spectacular drop it was, early in a grail. But it's fine.

I just don't like the chronicles online. I wish we could deactivate the fact that an item is registered as "found" when another player ID it. It's a bit frustrating somehow.
