I’m pretty sure TimeSlayer only meant regular PKs, not exploiting glitches to “kill all character in the game”. Someone going hostile and then ambushing you for an easy PK is not the same as an exploit, but I’d prefer if @TimeSlayer could clarify what he meant.
What difference does it make what kind of rando Grief you deal with?
sure you're trying to defend that glitching is less now than before but aside from that you haven't proven that random games to MF wont get you attacked in D2R which is a waste of your time vs playing solo or with friends in password games.
You're kinda taking your own personal experience/anecdotal evidence here and trying to present it as statistical fact.

Just because something CAN happen does not mean it's a frequent occurrence by any stretch of imagination. And that was the original comment you made, that it was a frequent occurrence.
It absolutely was frequent near the end of original Bnet you invited friends to games and pass worded them. you definitely didn't go jumping into open games with a hardcore character over level ten to be rushed unless you liked restarting.
D2R may not be as bad but even our MOD admitted there are randos who still hostile in public games so it's not non existent in D2R

There is no random glitching or power command in D2 where people can auto kill you. Depending on the number of players in a game, and your singular focus on your game, it's possible amid the pandemonium, especially if you have a powerful sound system, to not notice when someone has gone hostile on you, and your char suddenly dies. It might have the appearance of a glitch, but it's just getting caught up in multiplayer confusion. I had it happen to me in a multiplayer game. I strayed to test my Strafezon's
Windforce
knockback on
Baal
's hoards at the throne. I never noticed him until I had already killed him. I refused to let him come back and collect his body so he was forced to exit the game. I collected his
Ear
and then dropped it off in town, and reminded myself while I was exiting the game to pay more attention to messages on my screen.
Not remotely True. On original BNET yes there were in fact tons of hacks including "Kill all" so you denying it shows you don't know what your talking about. besides the benign hack like Mousepads maphack there were tons of scripts being run on Closed Bnet (Not Open that was a whole other creature) It has Nothing to do with lag or "You didn't see" the RANDO entered the game went to town went hostile and seconds later EVERYONE in the game died you'd get the notice of deaths on the chat and they would leave the game. <<< THAT existed however much you deny it. People trying to cash in on Duping were running every kind of script they could to glitch games and they found the exploits that allowed all sorts of hacks to run. Blizzards code is swiss cheese what is keeping D2R less festered is the advent of new laws and the punishment for 'Attacking' public & business servers. The average script kiddy isn't willing to end up in jail just to piss off gamers.
You should really take a deep breath and chill a bit. In an early release of Diablo 2 going back more than 20 years or so there were some codes used that kicked people out of a game, but the issue was fixed years ago. Even before D2r they no longer worked, but if you have a link to credible and verifiable proof, that it's still happening then present it, and we'll review your information, and if it holds up then we will stand to be corrected. Attacking a server is quite different than typing a code in chat that can kill the intended recipient.

"Was". Near the end of original Bnet, maybe. I don't know. I never played LoD online so I have no experience to speak from there. Either way that isnt what you're claiming. You're claiming it IS (as in currently, to this day) a FREQUENT occurrence.

Which mod admitted what? Where?
Admitted that assclowns exist who try to cause trouble sometimes? I don't know what post youre referring to and even then, that's a far cry from what you're claiming, which is that people should expect to be frequently and randomly killed in public games on D2R. By my experience, and a good many others here, that is not the case.

"D2R may not be as bad"

If by "not as bad" you mean the issue you speak of is "nearly nonexistent", sure.
