Poisson Necro shield - advice please

For Poisonmancer, except if you're very rich I agree that Trang 3 pieces is cheap and very efficient (usually Belt gloves wing, last one with Um or Poison facet jewel.
Though the most critical piece to get is the Death's Web.

That said, if super rich you can try to get the unlikely combination that will make you have a better shield - still harder (or a 4 os Poison facet Monarch, but ouch for survivability)

Even 4os psn Monarch won't beat Trang:
20/-20 vs 5/-30 + 2 skills. Not even considering the defensive stats.
The biggest drawback is that you have to use Trang Belt instead of arach. Still worth it.

Are you really missing out on anything from Arcahnid's Mesh, though? You don't need the FCR, and the +1 to PnB is more than made up for with the reduction to poison resistance. At that point, wouldn't you rather have Trang-Oul's Girth's extra life, etc.? Maybe you're just missing out on Goldwrap for MF. : P

Extra skill is extra skill and it also boost BO from CTA.
The 20 fcr helps getting to 48 or 75 BP which you want for QoL, esp. for the faster teleporting.

Point is: You are kind of forced to use Trang Belt since armor and helmet are worse and this makes your build less flexible.
Whether it is arach or any other Belt you'd like to use is another discussion

Overall, Trang Belt is not bad. 66 life, up to 50 mana, 40 cr, Rep life, CNBF, and faster mana reg (from set bonus) are all nice even though not a must in any means.

Case 1: PvP
Case 2: If you are farming cow level (cows have 33 psn res in hell) and use Death web and have facets in other gear (so a lot of -enemy psn res stacked already) , then a rare with e.g 2 pnb and 3 psnnova and 2 psn facets deals more damage.
