PvP advice for beginner

Hello, yesterday I did my first PvP ever.

After few hours I managed to beat

Berserk barb with Mosaic sin like 5:4 so that made me very happy.

This is yolo PvP currently on ladder, I think we will continue because we all enjoyed it. Just looking for any tips how to beat first timer PvP who also has no PvP gear basicly he is in same situation like I am

Most of us never done any PvP so we even fought with

Gheed, cube, tomes of portal and identify and some 7mf sc, just typical PvP gear

Few of us were lvl99s rest was like 90-94.

I am looking for advice what to focus on, whats important. Or point me into direction for PvP beginners. I do follow Cooley, but gear they use are out of my reach.

Against melee characters I found that best I could do was to get 1charge of

Tiger Strike, and then

Dragon Claw (I do have points into

Claw Mastery, so AR was main reason for this skill) or

Dragon Talon. Using

Burst of Speed. But against Fury druid it was just lost, he was so fast. When we tried to fight with all of my charges, fights were super short, and

Dragon Flight was able to kill everyone within second

I am not going to respec, also I am not going to buy that insane PvP gear. Yes I know that I really use only few skill points which I have in

Claw Mastery, 1point

Fade, 1point

Weapon Block and 1point bos. So respec would help me a lot. But I am not doing that - unless we get serious.

My biggest enemy was cold sorc. Once I even managed to hit her and somehow dodged her spells. But that was my best run against sorc - in every single matches I died without doing any dmg or with doing one dmg while suiciding.

How much cold resistance do I need against cold sorc?

What I used against melee:
Gear I had was Enigma, draculs, andy, dual Mosaic, gore riders, verdungo, mara,

Raven Frost and 9all res 10fcr ring. Charms I quickly filled with random life GC I had in my stash. BoS

What I used against casters:
Gear was basicly my go to build for ladder, high fcr and hoping for

Mind Blast in 2v2 or 3v3. In 1v1 just to

Dodge her spells with tele and hoping to hit her with

Dragon Flight and

Dodge again.

Fade was big here.

In 2v2 or 3v3 I was totally useless, I am slow, I dont know who was enemy and who was friend, once I was chasing my own guy, But one game out of like 50 I managed to do 2x kills in single 2v2

I think I do need AR, life and FCR res. Are max dmg "fine small charms" worthy?

With my current gear I cant get all stats at once (as you can see on youtube) so I would like get two setups, one against melee, one with FCR vs casters. And vs Javazon I dont have any light res sc, so lets ignore her completely.

I just dont know whats good and what is not, so any of your advice will help me reduce process of "dying while learning". It took me 2hours to figure out how to beat that barb So I am making some progress for sure

AR Max dmg + life/res could help ofc, doubt its bringing your efficiency down.

I did check all my charms and gear, I switched from mara to

Metalgrid (which I didnt even know I had), I bought 2nd

Raven Frost and organized my charms.

So right now my AR is up to 12-14k, yesterday it was around 6-7k

Regarding melee fight. What budget armor is good to have?
RW I am thinking about
- Duress for open wounds and CB
- Prudence (I do have kinda nice

Eth base) so I could get high defense
- Hustle or Treachery so I can use

Fade without hurting my IAS this much, but that might be bad idea

I never played Mosaic so I don't have any advice regarding that build.

In a melee fight, you need high defense (with max block) and high AR.

A way to win as assassin may be to focus on open wounds so you don't really care about damage but AR and IAS.
It's a bit lame and boring because the fight may be long.
You could use

Venom: Skill so open wounds + poison rox.

If you need AR, the BIS is

Angelic Halo +

Angelic Wings +

Raven Frost (if no

Cham in

Helm) or 2

Angelic Halo.

A fun melee assassin build is

Whirlwind with Chaos and Fury.
Focus on AR + open wounds +

Weapon Block +

Venom: Skill.

Tornado yeah, I was bored today and I browsed internet for ideas what to do, what gear to have and how to play and I found out this:

Then I checked prices it was suprisingly very cheap (skiller with 37life for

Lem) - for reamining gear which I didnt have I decided to buy runes for 2USD.

Atm I am missing only one base - for Chaos, I have made offers few hours ago, but sellers are koreans, probably sleeping.

I have decided to go with +3 Venom on both hands.

I am still not 100% sure if going for +3venom on both weapons was smart choice, but what else? I do have a lot of skillers so I dont even need to max

Fade to reach 50%dmg red,

Weapon Block need a lot of skills after reaching 60% to get +1%block and I havent seen bases with +3claw mastery. Rest of the skills are at lvl1 because purpose is to get enemies into hit recovery.

Because on offhand with cta u have +3skills, you need both of those skills on

Claws to get more than you already had.

BTW PvP as Mosaic is basicly about "will I get one

Charge before I die? If I get

Charge you will win". I played some smiter with Grief earlier today and I managed to beat him 3x, but lost 8x. I even once beat really well geared up hammerdin

Yesterday I did some farming games and I realized after reaching 99 I find no purpose in it... + I can always respec back to Mosaic.

That's a nice anti-caster oriented build but requires practice with multiples skills to use.

I think I have to drop few skillers to get more AR. Dunno. I have no idea where to spend last 8skill points. And I wasnt even looking for circlets. But with griffon i dont need FCR on ring or amu. To reach 65fcr breakpoints.

I heard expression "playing piano" with Mosaic in PvE. No with Mosaic u just get

Charge and then you only use tele + finishers.

But this PvP build is really playing piano. I do have 6x pre fight prebuffs, during fight I should use actively 5skills (2x traps - just to put enemy into hit recovery,

Mind Blast, Fury

Blade, tele) + WW and claw finisher.

I did played two sorc yesterday -

Nova sorc with Infinity and blizzard sorc.

If I swap few gears (kira and res charms) my light and cold resists were 380 (I can easily go above 400).

Weapon Block (60% block chance) actually block even

Smite and spells - it just blocks complety everything. I would love to test it vs Java, havent met java yesterday.

Blizzard sorc were doing 300dmg if they hit. From 2 blizzards on me, I got hit once. One time when we tested it. I got hit in 4th blizzard for the first time.

Nova sorc lighting

Nova (yes sorc with Infinity) dealt 60dmg to me (I could just use to tgod and whisp ring so she would be healing me).

I had two/three options to kill her
1) catch her with tele and WW her. Which is what I will do to learn how to play.
2) vs

Nova sorc I can just randomly WW around hoping she would tele into my WW
Or
3) just stand there without moving, drink cup of tea, get namelock and hold button for Fury blades and then type GG, because Venom is used on Fury blades I do need like 3hits only to kill sorc.

I dont know what sorc do have in their arsenal, but if their dmg comes from spells, they just cant kill me.

Lets theory craft how

Nova sorc can kill me:
If she hits me with lighting

Nova, she does 60dmg. I do have 3500life and 60% block chance. So she would have to cast spell 93times ! And all I need to kill her is hit her during namelock 3x times with holding Fury

Lets theory craft how blizz sorc can kill me:
If she hits me with blizzard, she does 300dmg. So she would have to cast blizzard 20times ! Which I can easily

Dodge with tele. And again namelock + Fury

Blade. Fury blades cost like 3mana, so I think sorc will run out of mana before I do.

Those fights were really amazing for me (not for sorc), because I didnt have to do anything really. But my friend is smiter with Grief and Exile (he will make new weapon, because Grief is hmm well how to say it: Grief) and his 30k def is really hard to beat with my low AR and against him I do need to play my ghost sin like piano, but with 50%dmg reduction I can survive few hits even with Grief. So when I will be able to kill him equally. Then I will be ready for anything against random PvP without godly gear (except pro gamers ofc).

Btw I have tried some PvE with this build. Me tele into middle of pack, not attacking. My

Shadow Master and my

Blade Shield were able to clear p1 CS and cows, without me drinking potions during fights. And also without

Shadow Master dying! I did maxed him. Dunno if that was good idea or not.

Also look what roll i got on my Chaos base has +10ED

Against smiters, you better have to go

Angelic Halo and

Angelic Wings to gain massive + 2k AR.
He's not doing cold damage so you don't care much about

Raven Frost, unless you need dext.

When you're doing WW against smiters, try pass next to him, not through him.
You will benefit from the range of your weapon which may be higher than the range of

Smite.

You should read some literature and watch some videos about how to use WW in PvP and weapons range.
That will help you understanding how it works
