Description

Yo. Im back.
Need advice. I want make Doom for zealer. I use this build mostly for ubers ,but there i use Grief ofc, Normally i use Stormlash (i tested also schaeffer but ,minimum str is to high in my opinion. works better then Stormlash btw...) ,but i want test Doom.
What base i should use in Your opinion ? I dont have sure. Meaby even is result worth it i made it in hammer. Tell my Your opinion. I made my first Doom last days for sorc and its cool. Waiting for Your advices. Meaby somebody tested that ?

As far as I can see for Doom only Berserker Axe, War Spike and Ettin Axe are possible one-handed elite weapons. From those War Spike is the fastest base while Berserker Axe has a bit more dmg.

thats mean for zealer better way is Berserker Axe. Speed is from Zeal and fanatism... Hmmm but what about with hammers.... ?

There are no one-handed hammers that can have 5 sockets.

With a Berserker Axe and level 25 Fanaticism you need 58 IAS for max attack speed.

With an Ettin Axe it is 83 IAS and with a War Spike it is 39.

Since Doom offers 45 IAS, a War Spike gives you the most options in terms of gloves, belt, armor and amulet.

Ettin Axe forces you to bring 40 IAS from gloves and Highlords/Cats or Hustle/Treachery.

Berserker Axe needs 20 IAS from either gloves or amulet and is the only weapon with a range of 2. I would go for this one.

For low items I also accept: Perfect Amys, Ral, Hel, Tokens, Keys. Please don't offer runes lower than Pul (with the named exceptions).

Are you making a Holy Freeze Paladin or just wanting this weapon for your current Zealer? Because if not then it won't be that interesting on a non- Holy Freeze build. Honestly BA is a great choice as you can use this weapon on a Druid and deal better dmg there apposed to a War Spike. Plus BA has better range - which is Key for Zealing.

Honestly though it's not a very exciting weapon to use since the dmg is pretty ordinary but when we have nothing left to make then why not. All the best with it!

Schaefer's is the strongest non- Eth Zeal weapon I've tested, and I've spent a lot of time testing Zeal weapons. The strength requirement is a little higher, but strength investment also increases your melee damage...so it's win-win if you can balance with extra life on your charms, or someplace else

For Doom, the Holy Freeze is nice, but repairing it is not very nice. Damage is useable, and still efficient enough to farm in the pits. But if you are used to Grief, Doom is going to be much weaker, so be prepared. Berserker Axe is the best base imo

thx for advice. From your post its clear thats Berserker Axe is best option but i must calculate mwhat i wear and how many ias i have because War Spike looks non orthodocsic and i like it ;)
whats mean that "range of 2" never meet this before.... Meaby ikm ignorant... plz expalin me.

I want use it in this build i have. I testes many weapons on this zealer. Any of them dont make me happy. Grief is to strong and i dont like it in Diablo .Grief break balance and all physics use trhis. I try dont ,when im not on Uber. Bhut trully i almost dont play this character - only on Ubers. I looking somthing to do in Diablo and after making Doom for sorc i meaby want try it on Uber. Ofcourse problem is that roll of it can be weak ,not ike last time in sorc and tests also dont make me happy :D.
Last options for my (propablly) are Doom ,and Stormlash etheric.... but its to expensive ,to stupid tests i think...

cannot agree with You. Its fun thats true ,but comparing with Stormlash work weaker in my case. I testes also. But thats can because diffirent gear or somthing. meaby rolls. dont know. Im buy meaby schaeffer close to perf in future...

i play many also my amazon with twohanded infinnity ,and i have big collection of chiped and orts there. I can live with repairng :)

I'm not sure I understand what you wrote, what do you not agree with? Eth Stormlash is a good weapon, but Zeal dps is less than 1/2 of your dps with Grief, on the maxroll damage calculator anyway, with the same best in slot gear

I'm not sure I understand what you wrote, what do you not agree with? Eth Stormlash is a good weapon, but Zeal dps is less than 1/2 of your dps with Grief, on the maxroll damage calculator anyway, with the same best in slot gear

i continue topic of zealer with fanatism. I get new schaeffer hammer for tests and still have Stormlash. Need advice about what put inside socket in your opinion. If i get ias breakpoint ,should put 5/5lightning jeww or ed ?
Btw i make fail today. I didnt check for sure ,and i was sure thats perfect stormlashi is 270 ed and i but one for Cham.... When i check on my old Stormlash i saw thats mine is 317 :-/. I wanted buy better one like i do with schaeffer... :) Stupid.
Luckly schaeffer is nice. :)

Hi I see you are new to Zeal. You mention reaching your IAS Breakpoint but I see the gear you have on along with your Max Fanaticism and I can tell you that this is not enough for Schaefer's. The Legendary Mallet speed is 20 and a Scourge is -10. The only choice for Schaefer's is a Shael or IAS with something else but I recommend the rune. You can try be cute and add a Rainbow Facet but i promise you it's not fast enough. Try using it empty and then with a Shael.

I never mentioned Grief but I understand where you are going as I had been on a similar journey. I have a +400 Grief for a long time which I never use on my Tesladin. I forget I have it in the stash. If it was the best choice I would be using it everyday. Doom isn't the answer you are looking for. If it was then we would be using it in the community for a long time
