Can be used to make Runewords:
I have one char with Holy Fire to zoom around to do lazy farming. many slots open to MF gears.
Another char with Holy Shock dedicated to farm Key of Destruction. Enigma and some other FCR gears to enable fast Teleport. and no need for additional MF gears.
Both char has native max Conviction.

what do you do when not fighting demons / undead?
I tries this and was awesome for Chaos but other areas kept running into non demons/ undead and was a bit lost as what to do?

2-3 foh kills most, plus merc w. elite Eth Insight...

sinking points into Conviction for a FOH'er is a trap.

yes its a 1 monster kill Lightning Strike, while FoH is fun when it can hit many monsters with holy Bolts that dont get any buff from Conviction
Rmac85 i play zones where FoH works, diablo - Baal - Arcane Sanctuary - Travincal - the pit - Flayer Jungle can be awsome if the 'birds' dont spawn, even with the birds its still nice for the pygmy's
Want to farm anything where FoH dont work ?, play another spec / class.
Why ? Previous poster explained it’s useful against monsters not affected by holy Bolts
The inconsistency and range of the lightning dmg from Fist of the Heavens is too unreliable to depend on just to sink 20 pts in Conviction.
Add that cast delay / cooldown sealed it.
That is also why FCR BP isn't a top priority.
The main point for a FOH is the kiting of as many undead demons and use the FOH to unleash a dozen piercing Holy Bolts on screen on a tight density. To me that's AOE.
The only other real cause to hit the best 125 FCR is a faster Teleport or holybolt.
Unlke a hammerdin I like the flexibility of FOH - you have several utility aura skills you can have on and still do your thing.

When facing monsters unaffected by bolt I try to Smite them. It’s ok when it’s only one or two vipers; if more I don t try and skip them.
I think I ll go back to use Salvation, as I don t really benefit for any other aura and my res are not maxed
