video settings after OS upgrade ???

so after updating my OS all dark areas are now unplayable; floors walls monsters items are invisible unless highlighted with the cursor.
i.m playing around with video settings but....... no luck

i will probably roll back the os............mebbe some smart dude can advise....

There are a number of settings you can look at. You can start by looking at your Windows HDR setting. You can get there by right clicking on desktop and selecting Display settings from the menu. There should be a switch that allows you to toggle HDR on and off. If it's on then try turning it off, open d2r and check to see if it's still dark.

Remove windows and get a serious OS.

Besides that, my guess would be to try if this appears on windowed mode as well.
Other guess is changing texture and shadow quality and environment details to low

Also post your video card and the driver version you use to get more help.

You should not reroll your OS and skip updates, especialy when using windows as a productive environment. Not updating makes the big security issues with windows even worse.

lol.... it's a 6 year old mac mini w. an egpu, d2r running on crossover...

anyway i rolled the back the OS, other issues with macos 14 and the gpu....

lesson i never learn: dont update just because u can...
