I'm new to D2r and never traded before. I have 100+ pgems.
As a general rule, how are they traded? In batches of 40 assorted, or are certain ones more valued than others?
Are they even worth anything? I don't see a lot of people picking them up when I'm playing.

Can be used to make Runewords:

On switch, I am not sure, but the good idea for you is to click on the word " Perfect Gems" in my post, and check the price history.
As for PC / non ladder, the usual rates are : 35-40 pgems (White / yellow / blue / green) for an Ist
20 prubies / pskulls for an Ist
7-10 perfect amethysts for an Ist
Pamethysts are the best as they are used to craft caster amulets. Prubies for Blood Gloves and rings, Pskulls to reroll rare. Others are mainly here to reroll grand charms so any can work.
On PC at least, they are one of the most steady ways to build Wealth slowly but consistently.
As for myself, that's how I made most of my D2-Wealth : selling stuff I find for a few pgems + cubing what I get (I start picking at "normal" gems, not the two first levels), then selling batches for ists to some trusted buyers, then buying what I want
