Demon Head has been added a lot later as a class-based shield, I'm pretty sure. I might be wrong but I think half of the team already left by the time LoD came out.

On this topic, anyone ever notice lighting doesn’t apear to be a pre-requisite for
Chain Lightning? At least it’s not displayed as such on the Nintendo switch version
