Hammerdin

Hello guys.
i'm new in this game.
i play this d2r a month ago, and i alr in lv 84 using paladin, i alr finish the game, but i still looking for the item for play another classes.
i build hammerdin, i know this build from my friend when he play d2 LOD 15years ago. he said hammerdin is the best classes and easy to clear all boss and minion.

and now, i kind of hard to looking an item in

Baal run, it's very hard when i face the 2nd wave in hell

Baal.
my hammer cannot damage the minion, i suppose to say it's immune something (i can't see the symbol bcs i play with ps5 and i didn't know that symbol element).
in the first run, i clear this with my merc, i hv to change his equip. any tips for me to how clear this 2nd wave more quickly ?

2nd wave is magic immune. so for the merc to clear a bit more quickly, i do it in 2 steps :
1) with

Redemption, i "clear" the dead bodies so they cannot resurrect skeletons, the merc can focus on killing the summoners
2) once no more bodies to be resurrected, i switch to

Concentrate to increase the damage the merc does.

Redemption is nice to clear dead bodies and avoid monsters to resurrect

I use strong merc.
Obedience is cheap and strong. Base is

Thresher or

Giant Thresher, 5os Ethereal is cheap too.

The paladin should be between

Baal and your merc so that

Baal will curse

Decrepify to you, not the merc.

As Panda said, you can use

Redemption or

Nature's Peace to clear the dead bodies.
I prefer

Nature's Peace so that the paladin can use another aura (

Concentration or fana) to increase the dps of the merc.

Any reason to do

Baal run instead of diablo run ? (what item are you looking for ?)

I came back after more than a year off. Due to the newer patch notes I Respec'd my Hammerdin to Fohdin (Fist of Heavens) mind you I already had The

Hand of Blessed Light. Absolutely kills

Mephisto, Diablo and

Baal levels. I had the same problem with Hammerdin as you have. Respec you won't regret it.

Also with a slight gear swap I was even able to smash

Diablo Clone when he appeared recently with only 1 point in

Smite.

My 'old' main was FoH smiter, no

Holy Shock and no

Conviction so pretty much maxed both FoH/fana/

Holy Bolt/

Smite and very high

Holy Shield, can do dclone and ubers easy (with a little gear swap) and do diablo trav and baalruns.

just know if you respec to FoH.. dont try cows, they are not demons or undeads.

my main is now

Nova

Energy Shield sorc, much faster than i was with my FoH pala, and he was/is fast.

Have no experience with this type of charm but actually a

Black Cleft could be useful for a Hammerdin to clear the second wave:
uniques/black-cleft-t1135125.html

As far as I know it isn't often used because of less magic immunes in the game.

I keep a

Corpsemourn on my Blizz sorc jut for the 2nd wave

yes, i use this trick, but sometime my merc still die during the fight withthe minion.

this is the problem dude.
i alr hv a plan to chance fohdin when i alr got patriach using reward den evil quest, but when i finish act 1 hell, i come to

Akara and choose the wrong option to reset my stats.
now i just need essence from

Baal to get the token for reset stats.

yes

Baal can drop anything, but i dont think it is a better farm than a diablo run

you can find griffon deaths web and such in a diablo run, just not from diablo but the monsters in

Chaos Sanctuary can drop it.

I like diablo runs, faster than

Baal and i got lots of nice loot/runes doing diablo runs.
